[INDENT][INDENT][i]Guardians of the Galaxy are a group of misfit outlaws that protect the galaxy, and also the universe, from all threats. Originally, all of them, with the exception of Mantis, met in prison and teamed up in order to retrieve a prized orb. Later, it was revealed that the orb contained the Power Stone, one of seven infinity stones scattered throughout the universe. Gamora planned on taking the orb away from her father, Thanos, so he couldn't complete his "mission." However, Peter Quill had managed to steal it and wanted to sell it for profit. Then, Groot and Rocket arrived to capture Quill, who had a fairly large bounty on his head from Ravagers and its leader, Yondu. 

And it was how all of them met. 

After breaking out of jail and learning about the infinity stones, Gamora suggested handing it over to Nova Corps for protection while the others still wanted to sell it. Before they could have fought on the matter, Ronan the Accuser managed to take the orb by force and planned on using on the planet of Xandar. With the help of the Nova Corp and the Ravagers, Ronan was stopped and the orb was retrieved and placed in the hands of Nova Corp. It was five years ago. Since there, the Guardians had saved countless lives and encountered hundreds of aliens, including Mantis, who was found in a tomb and eventually became the latest member to join.

During that time, they have stopped the Children of Thanos for achieving their goal several times. Their last encounter with them occurred a few months ago, where the Mad Titan himself showed up for the first time to deliver a message. He said that he won't stop until he has the seven infinity stones to achieve his goal of "saving the universe for its self." Then, he proceeded to easily defeat the Guardians, leaving them to reflect his message. It only motivated (most of) them to stand against the Mad Titan. 

With their wounds healed and pride recovered, Gamora managed to pinpoint a planet of importance where the remaining six stones could be. It was a planet that Quill swore to never visit for personal reasons. Earth.[/i][/indent][/indent]
[COLOR=852B34][INDENT][B][SUP][SUB][H3]C H A R A C T E R   M O T I V A T I O N S   &   G O A L S:[/H3][/SUB][/SUP][/B][/INDENT][hr][/COLOR]
[INDENT][INDENT][i]I have done Guardians of the Galaxy before once upon a time with a Year-One approach to it. However, I want to write an experienced Guardians that have learned to deal with each other and at least respect each other. Normally, they would be out in space kicking alien ass and fighting for the galaxy. But, I want them on Earth, so I have more peeps interact with. Plus, space can get pretty boring, especially if you are by yourself. In order to make it reasonable as to why the Guardians would be on Earth, I have them hunting for the six remaining Infinity Stones. It allows the GMs a reason to introduce Thanos to Earth if they have any plans with him. 

And it gives me stuff to write about Peter Quill and the fact that he's returning to a completely different Earth. Of course, I can write the other Guardians' reactions to the planet and its people.
