I'm not sure I ever really liked the idea of Spider-Man being able to kill people that easily. He's always been the underdog to me, not some demigod who spares us mere mortals. But the fact that he DOES hold back is within his character, so that's cool. I do like the idea of him pulling punches, but not because he can knock your block off.

Like, Spider-Man is probably the best non-lethal fighter of all the super-heroes. He can win fights without knocking anybody out. Just knock them to the floor and web them up.
