It didn't take long to find her father, especially since he seemed to have been looking for her as well. She spotted his storming down the corridor and his gaze quickly locked on her. His gaze was narrowed and he appeared less than pleased by whatever news he had been told. And she could already guess what that was. Penelope stepped over to met her father halfway. "Penelope, what the hell is going on?" he questioned immediately in a lowered voice as he eyed his daughter. "The king wouldn't let him go without a guard and I still have to get permission from Mia to stay in the inner kingdom for a while." she explained with a small shrug. "I figured it'd be killing two birds with one stone." "I'm sure those aren't your only reasons... Penelope there's no way I'm letting you travel alone with him." John grumbled sternly. "I'm going to go with you." The knight shuffled her feet, finding it a bit difficult to tell her father 'no' outright. She didn't want to get him as upset as he was the night before, especially after he settled down since then. "Well, the king already approved of us going alone and you'd have to convince him to let you go.." she pointed out. She shifted her weight a bit. "Plus we're leaving as soon as we can so even if you do try to convince him you won't have much time.." John crossed his arms over his chest, pursing his lips into a thin line as he narrowed his eyes at her. "This is ridiculous.." he shook his head disapprovingly. "Fine." he spat as if the word itself tasted bitter. "Just remember this whole thing with you two is on thin ice. He may soon be the viceroy but that doesn't mean I approve of this yet. I'll still find you a different nobleman if I have to." "We'll be fine." Penelope nodded feeling rather relieved that her father didn't argue much. Though he may have threatened finding her a different suitor, she felt rather certain they could easily avoid that happening. Once they were out of the inner kingdom, they'd have even less to worry about. "I'll see you in about a week then." She said her goodbyes to John and dipped her head to him before turning and beginning to head off towards Crow's room. Now that her father was taken care of, she felt her eagerness for their trip alone return and she picked up her pace as she headed to meet up with Crow.
