As a player, what is your preferred writing level? Several paragraphs when it's a solo post. Longer collaborations are better when working with another player to avoid 1000 two-sentence posts. Is grammar and depth of writing important to you? Yes, but I'm not expecting professional author standards. Just enough that it makes sense and flows nicely. Are there any writing subjects you particularly enjoy exploring? I'm open to pretty much anything, but particularly enjoy exploring the relationships, good and bad, between characters. Is there anything you really dislike and want to avoid like the plague? I would rather not die straight away but I'm open to it down the line. I also realistically can't see any chance of a romance for this character and would prefer to avoid that too. Is there something you are uncomfortable with happening to your character? Nope. Come at me. Do you have any short-term or long-term goals with this character? I kind of just want to get involved in all sorts of gritty projects, important enough to see him rise up the priority target list and maybe even reluctantly rise through the ranks to some degree. Until we start I really don't know where I can see this character going in the long term but really its flexible enough that he could be killed, go rogue, defect to the Republic, get taken prisoner, literally anything. I would be interested in seeing Rhan be part of a project that paints an enormous target on his back, both for rivals within the Empire and for the Republic who fear what could happen if his studies are successful. It could be improved weapons or armor, it could be a superweapon or new technology to counter Jedi powers, even a zombie virus or something, who knows. Working knowledge of medical technology and engineering. High standard of laboratory and field research training. Good judge of character, adept at managing a research team, well-organized and good at utilizing time and resources effectively. Good grasp of politics but uses it more to steer clear of being caught up in it rather than boosting his own position. Good at negotiating deals. Basic combat training undertaken by all recruits of the Imperial Military. Known associates: Kalen Kovani, Tylen Manten, Arek Dahn, Cyrus Pritchett, Favoured Equipment and clothes: Rhan does not carry any form of weaponry by default. In the field he will carry a blaster pistol for self defence but normally relies on the stormtrooper team escorting his research group rather than trusting his own more than shaky aim. He wears the standard white uniform of an Imperial Science Officer, kept absolutely immaculate and worn with great pride. His lab overalls, however, are a different matter, covered in hastily made scribbles and colourful stains from chemical spills and god only knows what else. Personality type: Rhan is a professional through and through, placing his work above all else in his life. He is dedicated and meticulous, and has no time for the incompetent and uninterested. He is proud to serve the Empire, showing the utmost respect for his superiors, and his intellect and curiosity serve him well in his role. Rhan's moral code, however, is essentially non-existent, and as such he has gathered something of a reputation for carrying out some truly terrible and inhumane experiments during his tenure. Known flaws: Rhan does not really know how to switch out of work mode and as such has almost no social life and very few relationships that aren't strictly professional. While no means an introvert or antisocial, Rhan simply does not make the time, and the lack of non-professional relationships in his life is something he has started to struggle with as he has grown older. Rhan's reputation for being exceptionally arbitrary means that many avoid him, and there are very few people who stay part of his team for more than one project.

[sub]Detailed appearance. Imagery insufficient.[/sub]
Rhan Tersu stands at 6 feet and 2 inches tall. He is of average build, with broad shoulders and long legs, weighing in at around 170lbs. Heavy dark circles adorn the space beneath his small brown eyes, and his pointed nose and high cheekbones give his face an angular quality. Rhan keeps his long hair swept away from his face, often having to tie it back in the lab. Both his hair and the thick full beard that covers the lower half of his face are light brown, with silver flecks starting to show through as he grows older. Rhan's lips are thin and pale, and his mouth often gets lost in the forest of facial hair around it. His forehead is lined with deep wrinkles and he has prominent laugh lines; signs of Rhan's age finally starting to show. Just as he does his workplace, Rhan keeps his uniform absolutely immaculate. His boots are polished to a glossy black shine, and you would never find even a single crease on his clothes. He stands straight and tall at all times with his chest out and shoulders back, chin up and facing forwards. There is an air of authority about Rhan, and although he manages to maintain a calm and stony exterior appearance, his cold eyes and passive aggression signal his discontent without the need to raise his voice. His icy glare has sent shivers down many a young officer's spine.
[sub]Report on skills and talents, including level of skill[/sub]
Officer Tersu is an extremely gifted research scientist operating at the forefront of the Empire's technological advancement. He operates at a high level, performing both desk research and laboratory wet work with great efficiency. He has an advanced knowledge of both human and xenobiology, including physiology, biochemistry and cellular biology, as well as a good grasp on engineering that allows him to work competently on a wide range of projects across one or both fields of expertise. Rhan possesses the necessary logistics skills to organize people and resources on a research team, able to use what is provided to complete projects to the best of his ability within the given timeframe.
[sub]Report on known combat experience, training and weapons training.[/sub]
Officer Tersu has received the basic training that comes with enlistment in the Imperial Military. Since then, he has received no further training. His only experience of combat came on a research trip in which his team was attacked by feral native life forms. Despite drawing his weapon, Tersu never fired a single shot and the group of noble Imperial soldiers protecting him dealt with the situation with utmost efficiency.
[sub]Report on role, specialisation and responsibilities pertaining to the subject’s military deployment.[/sub]
Rhan is an Imperial Science Officer, placing him at the forefront of many Imperial research and development operations. His role is both management, delegating and directing teams of researchers towards an end goal, and practical in the sense that he often commits time to being in the lab himself and taking part in testing purely for the enjoyment, a passion for his work that few other officers share. Due to joint proficiency in both biosciences and engineering, most of Rhan's work pertains to developments in biotechnology, which has involved research on a number of military projects like respiratory equipment for hostile worlds, improved communications equipment, medical devices both for field and clinical use, diseases and viruses with regards to both control and use, and a number of classified weapons projects.
