It made sense that it wouldn't be incredibly easy to leave the city, though they did have money now. Worst case scenario, they'd either fight these soldiers off or they would pay a bribe to be on their way. She knew it was more like that the soldiers would end up engaging them, especially since one of them looked about ready to fight. Ryuu and Rila both almost instantly gave the same story - and it sounded incredibly fishy and unnatural to Jia Li's ears, so she had to imagine how the guards would react to it as well. She figured that the soldier would take well to feeling like he was there to protect them - that they were just a group of innocent people put in danger by prison escapees. She really hoped that this add on to the story would work - otherwise, she'd need to hope that her fire power was still working. The freezer hadn't been kind to her.
