Character Sheet Name: Noel Lupin Appearance: Bio: Noel was raised on stories of his great ancestor. While he enjoyed them and even idolized Lupin as a boy, the older he gets the more he attempted to distance himself from the Lupin Legacy. Gentleman or not, at the end of the day Lupin was a thief and a criminal, and Noel found it difficult to take much pride in that fact. Still, he learned the tricks and kept up the training through his teen years if for no other reason than to try and be a good son for his parents. But when he turned 18, Noel left home, with no intention of returning. He'd been bequeathed the Calling Card by then but Noel had already made it clear he had no real interest in using it. In truth he wanted freedom more than anything else. For two years he lived on his own, under an assumed name and far away from his family and it's Legacy. Eventually, though, he learned of his family home being targeted. The Mask Collection was cleaned out, and the culprit remained at large. The Global Police even showed little interest in tracking the culprit down, the Masks themselves had originally been stolen by Lupin during his day so they had no real motivation to investigate. This is what convinced Noel to return home. He was still hesitant to wear the label of Phantom Thief, but when his parents were discovered to be MIA and the family home inhabited by black shadowy creatures... at the very least Noel wanted to save his parents if they were in danger. And if he just so happened to recover the Masks and showed up the Global Police along the way then so be it. Age: 20 Skills: A descendant of Lupin, Noel is versed in a few of the great thief's many tricks. Scaling walls, speed, agility, all of it part and parcel for one who has been learning the trade. Noel's stance is a bit strange though, unlike most who wield the Keyblade he holds the weapon with a backhanded grip. While this reduces the weapon's reach a bit, it does allow for swifter attacks in exchange. As with most Keyblades, the Calling Card can be used for casting magic as well, though Noel doesn't seem particularly fond of that tactic. Instead he prefers techniques that allow him to cloak himself in flame or lightning before diving forward, Surge attacks they are often called. He's also been known to coat the blade in Light to empower it for a flurry of blows. Even throwing the weapon isn't out of the question, either, it's nature of being summoned back to his hand makes this a particularly favorable strategy. Personality: At most times, Noel does his best to keep up a certain charming persona. After all, a good Phantom Thief must a gentlemen in most respects. So treats other people politely, even when they are his bitter enemies, and has even been known to actually compliment someone he is fighting against in the heat of battle. Most of it is facade of sorts, in truth Noel is just trying to be what people imagine the ideal Phantom Thief to be. Underneath that, he's just another guy, and one who at time seems to have been reluctant to step into his role as Lupin's descendant. In this world, Lupin made a name for himself as a legendary Phantom Thief. There was no door he could not open, no safe he could not crack. His secret? Lupin carried a mysterious key-shaped sword with magical properties. Throughout his exploits, Lupin amassed a collection of masks imbued with the ability to grant powers to whoever wears them. These masks, combined with his Keyblade, made Lupin impossible to catch. Even when the Moogles began supplying the Global Police with magitech in the hopes of matching him, Lupin still managed to outwit them at every turn. Whether he was a hero or a menace depended on who you asked. In the present day, Lupin's collection of masks mysteriously vanish overnight. Their whereabouts completely unknown, the task of retrieving them falls to Noel, a young descendant of the great Lupin himself and inheritor of Lupin's greatest legacy: the Keyblade. Important Nations (Great Powers, etc.): The Global Police is a unique agency that specializes in international crime and the capture of globally wanted criminals. They are also armed with advanced magitech gear thanks to their recent contracts with the Moogles. This was done in the hopes that the magitech gear would give them a counter to Lupin's Keyblade. Overall Technology Level: Roughly like present day, but with the addition of certain magitech prototypes issued to elite members of the Global Police.
