The continent is graced with plains, mountains, rivers, forests, snowy peaks, forests, and more. The land is so large that even its inhabitants, human-beast hybrids called Pokemon, haven't discovered everything the landmass has to offer. Some say that to the far west lies the edge of the world, and those who travel there never return. While Creisal undergoes political tension and conflict between its Clans and noble families, the continent often remains in a state of relative peace. The last war occurred almost one-hundred fifty years ago, and it had wiped out much of Creisal's population and two of its royal families. Pokemon try to remain out of conflict ever since the war-- although, at times, their tensions tread close to rekindling old and vengeful flames. But this is not a story of Pokemon being at each other's throats. A new adversary stalks the shadows, and while they do not have the elemental prowess of Creisal's inhabitants, they are just as dangerous. Pokemon are disappearing and showing up dead, and a new, dark era falls over the land. A group of young Pokemon, driven by desperation, must go on a dangerous journey in order to save their people... Bearing a variety of supernatural traits and abilities, Creisal’s Pokemon make up the land’s entire population. They fly above the clouds, swim in the deepest depths of the sea, and lurk in shadows as they hunt. What makes them so unlike Pokemon as we know them is the fact that they are humanoid in appearance. They seem like typical men and women, however, they all have different combinations of wings, tails, claws, fins, and more. It is also important to note that some Pokemon can have either more human-like, or more animal-like, appearances based on their form and where they live or have lived. As such, two of the same breed of Pokemon may look very similar, or completely different. Additionally, within the confines of certain boundaries will find higher concentrations of specific types of Pokemon. There are some Pokemon that are more rare than others. Legendaries are almost never seen outside of the territories in which they rule, and some are never seen at all. Pokemon that are meant to evolve through contact with elemental stones are not uncommon, although those from the Eevee bloodline are rarer than most. Despite Creisal’s massive variance in Pokemon species, this does not stop them from interacting and even breeding. Interestingly enough, half-breeds are non-existent; offspring match the breed of either their mother or father ( i.e. an Arcanine breeding with a Ninetails will only produce either Growlithe or Vulpix children). The major religion of Creiscal involves Arceus and Giratina. Arceus is seen as a "good, all-seeing god" that protects his people from evil. Giratina is the king of the void, a place where malignant spirits lurk and are subjected to emotional and psychological torture. Evolution is a natural and common process in Pokemon life. A Pokemon must become “stronger” in order to evolve, however, the definition of “becoming stronger” varies. The easiest way is through physical training and development, though not every Pokemon is a natural-born battler. Another way is through performing feats or completing goals, such as climbing mountains, helping others, or focusing on improving a certain aspect of oneself. There are other methods in which a Pokemon can bring themself to undergo evolution, but most of the time, they are at their final stage by their mid 20s or early 30s. The average Pokemon seems to have a lifespan equal to that of a typical human. However, there are those who live far longer. Some legendary Pokemon, in fact, are believed to have lived for centuries. A Pokemon's diet depends on the individual; beef, chicken, pork, fish, and fruit make up a large volume of Pokemon meals overall. Some Pokemon hunt and even cannibalize others, although it isn't common to hear of such strange things. A Pokemon’s type is a crucial aspect of who he, she, or they might be. It can grant a pokemon strengths and weaknesses that others may not have. And, while it is very common for pokemon to hold more than a single type, it can’t become the basis of any advantage or disadvantage in battle. While this may not be a deciding factor, it can certainly tip the scales. Additionally, a pokemon of more than a single type may experiences the strength and weaknesses of each types to varying degrees. This individual may also gain the abilities of each, though more often than not to lesser degrees than a “pure”-bred.
Fire Types
Many Fire type Pokemon seem to have inherently higher core body temperatures, some even having skin that is warm or hot to the touch. They thrive in environments of high temperatures and do not often experience discomfort in colder climates, unless they spend extended periods of time their without any form of protection from the cold.
Water Types
Water types seem to have evolved to be able to survive both in and out of water. They often seem to have gills of some kind or some other innate ability to breathe underwater. However, prolonged time on land without any form of hydration cause be dangerous. Many have even died due to this. However, the fact remains that in the water they are more than simply formidable foes.
Grass Types
Grass types are unique in an innate ability to survive by eating food or through photosynthesis if need be. They seem to draw power from the sun easier than even fire type. They even seem to be able to grow plant life from their bodies, sometimes through their “hair,” tails, or other parts.
Electric Types
Electric types are formidable enemies, and powerful allies whose manipulation of electricity is second to none. Some have even gained the abilities to redirect or even absorb electrical energy and add it to their own reserves. Even other electric types pray they don’t run into those that are capable of this.
Psychic Types
Psychic types more often than not seem to have at least one innate telepathic, telekinetic, or other esper ability. Some have multiple, though this is rare. These innate abilities can be used without the loss of a move slot. While one may be able to make up for esper related talents with Pokemon moves, they are not often as potent as the innate abilities.
Ice Types
Ice types thrive in the cold, the especially power often able to conjure powerful blizzard. Ice types tend to run a bit cold, very much like how fire types run hot. However, their control over ice is second to none.
Dragon Types
True Dragon types are a rarity even among the land of Creisal. They are extremely powerful and are even said to be able to tap into a powerful form known as Dragon’s Rage in order to boost their abilities. However, this takes training and often acts as a double edged sword if the individual cannot properly control and utilize the power.
Dark Types
To Dark types, the shadows can become home. Their manipulation and control over them are top rate. Many even seem to gain boosted abilities during the night, and even more so during the time of an eclipse. They most certainly do not lose all power during the day, but do still face decreases in ability.
Fairy Types
Majestic and elegant, Fairy types often have healing abilities unmatched by other types. However, these often underestimated Pokemon have the power to match that of true Dragons. It is not recommended you get on the bad side of these Pokemon.
Steel Types
Powerful tank like beings walk among the land and under as well. Very often these pokemon seem to share discolored skin and a tendency to look much less than human when compared to others. One would be wise to avoid the territories controlled by these types, as they are considered to be brutes who rely on strength above all. Any Pokemon who can match their power will most certainly be welcomed with open arms. Those who cannot… Well, good luck.
Ghost Types
Ghosts walk among us, towing the line between life and death and deeply involved in the supernatural. Many have much stronger connections to the land of the afterlife, though some doubt its existence at all. Still, these types have innate abilities attributed to those of ghosts; intangibility, invisibility, flight, etc. However, all must be willfully activated less they be as vulnerable as any other Pokemon (though these skill mean nothing when matched against a psychic or the odor sleuth ability, etc.).
Bug Types
Bug type Pokemon are often overlooked, but have much more to offer in their varying forms and formidable abilities. Many undergo transformations, even if seen and considered as a more simple breed; many even rise above Dark, Grass, or Psychic types. They are truly a breed which exemplifies the notion that there is strength and beauty in simplicity.
Rock Types
With rock hard skin, powerful bodies, and incredible resolve, Rock types are anything but weak. In many ways they are the only ones capable of matching or surpassing steel types in raw physical prowess.
Ground Types
Sharing many traits with their brethren rock types, Ground type pokemon hold a higher degree of control over the very land they walk. Powerful digging abilities and skills much more in tune with the land. Where Rock types prefer to move it by force, the ground type manipulate and utilize it as an extension of themselves.
Poison Types
As the name might suggest Poison type Pokemon have a great degree of control over various substances. Some are even able to secrete said substances from their bodies. From paralytics to corrosives, the poisons and venoms from trained Poison types can be deadlier than anything on the planet. As such, they are also the best at creating antidotes and removing poison from inflicted individuals
Flying Types
Flying types have the innate ability to, you guessed it, fly. Whether or not wings adorn the bodies of these individuals, floating, hovering, and other forms of the skill are their to command. They tend to excel in high speed aerial combat. You do not wanna be stuck in the air with a Flying type on your tail.
Fighting Types
What many Fighting types may lack in raw strength and power can often be made up for in skill. Through rigorous training many are able to bring the pain to imposing bodies, such as those of Rock types, with relative ease.
Normal Types
Possible the most well balanced of in terms of abilities when compared to the other types, Normals have hidden strengths and abilities many would overlook. However, their position in society is more often than not noted, acknowledged, and respected, as they take up the brunt of the population.

The land of Creisal is unique, being one of the largest continents on the planet. It is so large in fact, that its inhabitants have been able to live in certain areas have been able to set up territories. Over the course of time, in relation to these territories, natural borders seem to have developed. Villages have been established, towns have been built, and in some select areas, small cities have even begun to rise. Creisal is divided into three major kingdoms: Tere, Caelum, and Mer.
Tere is by far the largest kingdom in Creisal, taking up nearly half of all of Creisal. It is headed by a king known for his control over the earth. The majority of Creisal’s towns, cities, and villages are located in Tere. Most of its climate is temperate, though it becomes a colder the more one heads toward Caelum. Since of his kingdom’s massive size, Tere’s king has divided his territory among several lords.

Caelum is Creisal’s northernmost region. Snow-peaked mountains line the land, and deep, frost-riddled valleys bore into the earth. Some Pokemon live in such valleys, while others live up on the highest peaks where there is little oxygen. Caelum’s queen is known for her sheer beauty and grace while flying. Her throne lies in one of Caelum’s most skyward cities, where clouds and sky make up the kingdom’s most beautiful “seas”.

Mer is another kingdom heavily populated by Pokemon. It makes up southern Creisal and does not have that much land to its name. That’s because most of Mer is, well, below the surface of the water. While this kingdom has its fair share of islands, channels, and even deep rivers and lakes, strange and mystic civilizations lie below the ocean’s waves. Mer’s king is a legendary being of the water, said to have full control over the sea.

To the very west of civilization lies the Vale. No one really knows what it is, but whoever goes there doesn't come back. Some Pokemon believe it's the gateway to the underworld. When Pokemon are upset with one another, they often tell each other to "go to the Vale" or "fall off the west end" out of spite.
- Do I really have to go over RPG rules? - Please, please, please be active in the RP: this means be active in IC, OOC, Discord, or whatever else comes along your way. - Again, this is high-casual.
