Elspeths' reaction was a slight shrug as she recalled the girls back at the train. They weren't worth mentioning. Thomas took care of most of the rowdier ones that weren't cowed by her appearance.

Much as she enjoyed Pipers' company she'd hardly slack off on her responsibilities just to spend some time with her. Still, it might have been worth it to check up on her, back at the train - the girl quite swiftly redirected the topic to prevent her from digging deeper, so she'd respect that and let it subject lie.
