Active for 15 years
{Species}
KX-Series Security Droid
{Gender}
N/A - Male Programming

{Force Sensitive/Alignment}
No - True Neutral
Role on Ship
Bodyguard & Enforcer
{Appearance}
The KX-Series security droid was designed, at least in part, to symbolize the overwhelming size and might of the Empire, and K-6 is no exception. Standing at a towering 2.16 meters with a barrel chest and exaggerated human proportions; K-6's domineering stature, dark color scheme, and glowing white eyes provoke a sense of dread in those who've witnessed the terrifying feats of strength that a KX is capable of. Having endured a decade-and-a-half of harsh conditions, infrequent repairs, and heaps of blaster fire, K-6's platform is weathered and battle-worn: coated in dents, scratches, and the occasional blaster score here or there. The Imperial Crest once emblazoned on his shoulders has faded over time, with evident scratch-marks suggesting a more deliberate attempt to remove K-6's earlier association. Yet in spite of appearances, he is just as dangerous as any enforcer droid - a fact he's more than willing to demonstrate should one doubt his ability. Due to being stripped of his former programming, K-6's naturally hunchbacked posture is more pronounced, affecting his overall stance and gait. This is both an attempt to 'ease' interpersonal communication, as well as let K-6 better fit into spaces designed to accommodate smaller species. Should diplomacy fail and hostilities appear imminent, K-6 will straighten to his full height in a last attempt at intimidation before resorting to violence.
{Equipment and Personal Belongings}

Built-in comm package, recharge port, and computer interface arm

{Physical Abilities}
Imperial Security Droid: The KX-series enforcers were built for one thing and one thing only: executing the almighty will of the Empire. Used for such tasks as escorting dignitaries, protecting important personnel, and defending Imperial installations, the KX-droids were built for battle, and Arakyd Industries knew this. As strong as his size would suggest and possessing all the mobility of a human athlete, K-6 is a powerful combatant: demonstrating extraordinary strength, durability, and reflexes. Able to lift a full-grown man with a single arm, carry heavy gear without becoming exhausted, endure torrents of direct blaster fire, demonstrate near-pinpoint accuracy, and catch live grenades in mid-air, K-6 more than lives up to the fearsome reputation of his model. Hardened Security: Aware of just how valuable - and dangerous - a KX would be in the wrong hands, Arakyd Industries went to great lengths to ensure they were hardened against intrusion. Highly resistant to both forced reprogramming and remote hacking, K-6's reinforced firewalls make it next-to-impossible for all but the most skilled slicers to get past. Probability Analysis: Equipped with advanced, military-grade analysis algorithms, K-6 can quickly detail the probability of a plan's success (or failure) even as new variables are added in real time. While one would think this has little direct application in combat, K-6 utilizes those same algorithms to actively anticipate enemy movement, heightening his reflexes to near-precognitive levels as he can theoretically fire a blaster where an enemy will be by the time the bolt connects. Expert Infiltrator: With his large, frankly conspicuous frame, K-6's alleged skill in infiltration is likely to raise an eyebrow or two. But despite his years spent on the run and attempts at hiding his former association, there's no getting around the fact that he is an Imperial droid. As such, on locations with a strong Empire presence, K-6 has to do comparatively little in order to blend in, and likely won't receive a second glance from troopers and officers. Intimidation: An intimidating presence both on-and-off the battlefield due to his size, strength, and unsettling design, few would be foolish enough to pick a fight with a KX, and fewer still would make the mistake of underestimating them. Willing to use both verbal threats and shows of force when necessary, K-6 has no qualms roughing up people for a job, having made an entire career out of his ability to look menacing and crack skulls.
{Limitations}
Target Practice: For all the advantages that K-6's impressive platform grants him, it comes with its own set of downsides as well: chief among them being that his size makes him a moving target. Towering over all but the largest aliens and sticking out like a sore thumb in a crowd, it goes without saying that enemy fire will be instinctively drawn to K-6 first, greatly increasing his chances of being damaged or even incapacitated. Close-Quarters Reliant: Though frighteningly accurate with a blaster and programmed with a long range of combat capabilities, K-6 truly shines in melee combat, where his staggering strength can get the most mileage. Not one to carry weapons, K-6 is forced to close the distance in most cases to best deal with opponents, putting himself at risk of ranged attacks. Unrefined Technique: Even up-close, where K-6 is nearly unmatched, a keen observer can note that he, and by extension all KX-droids, rely on their size and power to physically overwhelm enemies. Following no real fighting style, K-6's dependence on strong grapples, throws, and punches makes him an incredibly dangerous, but easily-exploitable combatant, quickly outmaneuvered by faster opponents who can dodge-and-weave his attacks. Imperial Droid: A two-edged sword: K-6's status as an Imperial droid makes him both a skilled infiltrator and an unwitting attention-grabber. The Empire is not exactly a well-liked regime, particularly on the Outer Rim, meaning that K-6's presence alone draws fear, suspicion, and enmity from discontent citizens, who are likely to see him either as a reminder of the Empire's wide reach, or a sign of potential future occupation. Ion/EMP Weapons: While hardened against intrusion from slicers, K-6 is just as susceptible as any droid to the effects of ion and EMP weapons. While his platform's military-grade software prevents any permanent damage from the effects of a single ion blast, it will nevertheless overload his systems and cause an immediate shutdown, effectively taking K-6 out of the battle until he can reboot. Diplomacy: While programmed to speak and interact with people, as well as recognize and defer to Imperial Military officers, K-6 is no protocol droid, and as such lacks the finer-tuned diplomatic skills that such droids possess. He is a poor liar and a poorer mediator, relying on intimidation and coercion for nearly all non-combat situations. His years spent engaging with the seedy underworld of Nar Shaddaa have made him domineering and easily spurred to violence, quick to conclude 'negotiations' with a composite fist to the face.

{Personality}
No longer the dull, emotionless drone that his series came to be recognized for, the memory wipe and reprogramming that preceded K-6's reactivation resulted in the development of a distinct and fully self-aware personality. Stoic, loyal, and fiercely independent, K-6 serves others now out of personal devotion rather than the directives of his programming. Years spent committed to the care and security of his young master have instilled in K-6 an almost paternal sense of protectiveness towards those unable to defend themselves. While this makes him gentle and warm to the young and weak under his care, K-6's capacity for brutality and savage violence stands as a blunt reminder that he is still a rebranded battle-droid.
{Place of Origin}
WIP
{Background}
WIP
