[@Cio] Beck cracked a slight smile. “Trouble, what else?” She joked lightly before clearing her throat and taking a cautious look around; it seemed the streets were still empty. “Not a great time to look for it, I guess; all the humans are still sleeping and the vampires just turned in.” She looked back at the raven-haired woman; she was pretty sure she was a vampire, and didn’t want to scare her away. But, why be out at such an hour unless you were in the mood for some trouble? “These streets see a lot of action at night; a lot of new blood with no direction. It’s not safe for anyone; more humans are on high alert and more vampires gotta be afraid of leeches or crazy covens.” She continued, “I just write it all down and try to keep the peace for everyone. So, I’m just curious; what are you up to this early?” Since the Veil was pierced and the supernatural became mundane, Beck noticed the rapid uptick in new bloods. Really new bloods. Many of them were still warm, so to speak, perhaps just weeks or months old but already completely incensed and frenzied on the hunt for blood. She suspected that this was a covens attempt at rapid growth, but after tonight she wasn’t so sure. Could it just be powerless humans trying to grasp immortality? She couldn’t be sure, not without some help from the inside… and something told her this elegant creature knew some things she didn’t.
