Champion City's greatest hero, Captain Amazing, gave his life defeating the diabolical plans of an evil mastermind.  As a result, the vulnerable metropolis has been inundated with villainous criminal scum who are hell-bent on taking over the city and squeezing it dry.

Is there a band of powerful heroes who will arise to defeat evil and save the city?

Well… no. :D  There's only you and your cohorts.  The other guys.  The wannabes.  The working class heroes.

This game can be considered a sequel to the movie [i]Mystery Men[/i], but if you haven't seen it, don't sweat it.  I'll provide the lore, you provide the characters.

[b]A Few Choice Words[/b]

[hider=Working Class] No stately manors, fancy HQs, or independent wealth here.  You have a day job, and the pay ain't that great. [/hider]

[hider=Heroes] You're the good guys.  You try to protect the innocent, help the helpless, and defeat evil without punching it any more than you have to. [/hider]

[hider=Light-hearted] There's some serious stuff happening here, but the tone of the RP is a humorous one.  Be clever; be ridiculous; be weird.  This doesn't mean that [i]every [/i]post has to have something funny in it!  That's too much pressure for anyone. [/hider]

[hider=Low-powered]  You might have a skill that can sometimes be used to fight the bad guys. Ex: The Shoveler shovels well (very well); The Blue Raja is adept at throwing forks and spoons (but never knives).  Or, you actually have a super-power – a very, very limited super-power.  Ex: The Sphinx has telekinesis – but he can only use it to cut guns in half with his mind; Retrograde can run at 50 MPH – but only when he runs backwards. [/hider]

I've laid down a lot of background material and a number of plots over the years, but it's all open-ended: I need you to bring your creativity, sense of humor, and fun to steer the stories.  So, come fight the good fight against overwhelming odds!  Be a Working Class Hero!
