Matina is rather small, standing around 5'4-ish with long, wavy black hair that reaches her mid-back, though she likes to style it often in braids and buns. Matina has a soft, but darker skin tone and wide, light brown eyes. She sometimes wears light makeup, such as lipstick, eyeliner, and highlights, but nothing really more than that.

For clothing, she has sort of a vintage-y style like high waisted jeans and some sort of snugly fit turtle neck and the colors usually consists of dark greens, browns, and oranges. She paints her nails a lot of the time, often coming in with a new design every week.

Matina has a very bubbly and positive personality, seemingly a bit hyperactive at times as she is boisterous and really friendly, and not afraid to approach anyone in the surrounding area. Optimistic, she's always smiling though she can be a bit oblivious at times, but she's trying her best. Matina is a very touchy-feely kind of person and is always willing to give hugs, even to those who don't want them, and she has a habit of shipping people randomly. 

She has a habit of collecting small trinkets and/or pocketing random objects like spoons and such, but nothing that really has any value. She's quick on her feet, and tends to speed talk a little when she's excited, but she can also get super passive aggressive but for no apparent reason. She also has an interest for dark and morbid humor and the macabre.

Growing up in a family of eight and having five other siblings, Matina was the middle child of them all. Her parents became citizens of the U.S when she was a child, so she didn't know much about Brazil growing up. Her family struggled with wealth; they had a small house and she shared a room with her sisters, and everything else with her family, but her parents worked hard to take care of them, though she wasn't really a fan of sharing everything that she had, so she developed a habit of hiding things away from the rest of them. Matina's not a very ambitious person success wise, but whenever there was something that she wanted, she would go theough everything to get it.

Matina was always very active, at home and especially at school where she was a part of many clubs and activities. She's always liked having that sense of freedom whenever she wasn't at home, so she often hung out in other places, going to parties and other things that had a lot of people, as she was used to being in crowds. She was popular at school, easily making friends with many others, and she's had her fair share of relationships throughout that time. To her, highschool life went by all to quickly, and if she could, she would want to go back.
 
After highschool, she managed to earn a scholarship that paid for a lot of her college tuition, which was a big stress relief on her parents, who still were just trying to get by. Although she's already three years in, she's still rather uncertain about what she wants to do after college.
