It was as if the very thought had cursed her. Not moments after Kiko had departed in anger, she had summoned some indignant worm to her defense. A veritable white knight had crawled out of the bushes to do passive aggressive battle in his lady's defense. She really did have to wonder how long he was listening, or what he had even heard. It seemed he had jumped to a thousand and one conclusions already. That she, ironically, was somehow obsessed with her quirk and had cruelly taken it out on the poor maiden who had not a thought in the world to brag about it. No doubt he would reach for any straw that justified his righteous fury as he struck out with ever so hurtful words to slay the evil, ugly queen. It was a situation Yasu had found herself in before, in fact. This was a common occurrence at Nosaka High. She would say the wrong thing to the wrong person at the wrong time, and suddenly a crowd of people rushed to their defense, caring little for what had happened for her to say it. Before long, she had developed a reputation, and whenever a vaguely rude thing was said, it was already her fault, no matter what had transpired beforehand. The people that hated her the most understood this, and they used it like a shield. They reveled in the fact that she could only do wrong in the eyes of others. It was all she could do to stop rising to their challenges, although even that only worked so long. But she wasn't at Nosaka High, and she wasn't a naive child any longer. The white knight's ploy was a pitifully obvious one. He wanted a rise. She had no interest in giving him one. Instead, Yasu casually produced her phone and began work on a message to send to Aiko. She was bound to be having a better time than her at UA. As she typed, the white knight would be left in silence. If he wanted a rise out of his queen, he would have to try much harder than that. Better yet, perhaps he would take the hint and realise the queen didn't care to suffer him in her presence. That was almost certainly too much to hope for, Yasu reckoned. Peasants were often foolhardy creatures. [@Bluetommy]
Yasu ignores Souta and starts sending a text to her friend.
