If you have more than two brain cells, you could probably guess the make of it. Anyway, once white boy had his taste of the asian persuasion, he bailed, and ‘cause moms grew up religious, she kept me. She was 17 so, you know, that was probably a mistake. I mean look at me, holy fuck. Regardless, she pulled through, doing that single mother grind. When I was younger, she drank a lot and worked sketchy jobs… [i]pretty sure[/i] stripping might have been one of them, but she got her act together towards her late twenties. Then she got some desk job that uses her smarts, and now she doesn’t drink as much. ‘Cept on the weekends, damn can she put ‘em away. I’m her only kid though, I must have taught her some kinda lesson by… ya know, existing. We’ve always been poor, like hella poor. Living in California on a single, degreeless parent’s budget is damn near fucking impossible. I used to go to the local public school, not the fancy rich bitch one, the one on the other side of town. The ‘urban’ side. I said used to… ‘cause it turns out schools don’t like it when you bring a knife in to deal with assholes. “Don’t bring that knife in again,” they said when they suspended me. Turns out they [i]really[/i] didn’t like it when I brought in a different knife and answered “well, it’s not [i]that[/i] knife” in response to their questioning on why I did it again. If they wanted people to follow their rules, they should have been more specific with ‘em. So… now I find myself at a school for ‘troubled youth’, so, I guess I’m a ‘troubled youth’. I suppose they ain’t wrong, huh? I actually kinda like this place better, I think they get more tax funding than my old school or something? ‘Cause we have an auto body shop, and like other trade school stuff. I caught me a few of the honeys studying cosmetology a few halls over before I settled down as a taken man, so it ain’t half bad here at all. Plus, I get to work with my hands in the shop, and picked up mechanic skills these past two years. This works way more for me than regular school ever did.
