[indent]Matt is often described as your stereotypical jock for better or worse. Like all jocks he plays football. In fact he’s pretty good at slipping through the defenses and run like hell. But don’t be mistaken. On the field he might not tackle anyone but he’s known to get in a fight from time to time. Though they’re never so bad that he can’t walk the next day. Besides, he’s of the opinion that a big bruise suits him. Fighting isn’t the only thing he does though. Rumor has it that he got a go with every single cheerleader in the squad. It’s no secret that he goes around. You’d think that with all that on his plate he wouldn’t have time for anything else. That’s where you’re wrong. You see Matt has a nasty habit to tease almost everyone. Sadly if people react in a sensitive way to his teasing they become a target for things more teasing. Until it spills out into outright bullying. Matt doesn’t really know the difference nor does he car. He’s smart enough to stay off teachers their radar though. So he has never been caught. His private life is as busy as his school life. On Fridays and Saturdays you can find Matt at street racer parties. No doubt that’s where he gets his stuff from to deal. If he isn’t at some party he’ll be at his own little chop shop. It’s a small thing, sure. But any fledgling street racer in LA will have visited him at least once.

His friends aren’t entirely excluded from the teasing but he’s far from heartless towards them. Most of the time he just wants to have a fun time. Still when things get serious Matt rises up to the challenging. In a fight he’ll have your back. When there’s trouble Matt will  help you. No matter what issues you’re dealing with. He might not always be the most soft spoken person but he means well.[/indent]

[indent]Matt got accepted in both MIT and Hardvard Business school. At MIT he’d be able to pick up Mechanical Engineering. So in the future he could help design and manufacture high end cars. While his father would want him to step into the financial business like him. The problem is that in his head both paths have the same amount of pros and cons. His parents have been pushing him to make a decision. In fact he promised he’d make one during the summer but as June approached the doubt only grew. So when the Gearhead road trip was announced he jumped onboard immediately. Though he did promise his parents he’d make up his mind on the trip.[/indent]

[indent]When Lana and Paul married and had Matthias there was absolutely no indication that he’d be a gearhead. He grew up to be the child they’d expect him to be. Fairly popular but still does well in school. Everything looked like he would follow in his father’s footsteps. Until that one faithful summer where he stayed at his uncle for two weeks. When he came back he was a changed kid. Matt became far more free-spirited. A year later he snuck out to go to a party, a street racer one. He was sold the moment he arrived and heard the choir of engines.

After that, he had found his passion. He got his license as soon as possible and his father saw himself somewhat obligated to give Matt his own first car. For a year he joined several street racers though he quickly realized he was more interested in the engines under the hood than the races themselves. Through research and a lot of trail and error he refined his own skills. Of course, at the parties he picked up more than his love for engines.[/indent][/indent]
