He was fine. He said he was fine. Thing was, Tatiana knew he wasn't. Back when Newnan was still standing, Froggy had sat Tatiana down and had her learn psychology. She had already learned people reading from Davi long before she ever came to Newnan or even met Jack. Tatiana had a knack for getting people to open up to her, it was just natural for some reason. She had even gotten Ash to open up to her about Alicia's death. The two were like brother and sister before Newnan fell and while Tatiana had changed when she found the group again, Ash and her were still close as siblings. At least in her book. She called him brother, decided he was the godfather of Jamie, trusted him with her son. So when he said he was fine, it didn't take much of anything to know he wasn't being honest. He was saying he was fine for now. That he was keeping it together for the group. That he was going to deal with it later. Or maybe even that he wasn't fully accepting what was said since the word dead hadn't been used. That she understood. Ash was a leader and always put everyone else first. It was to be expected. Thing was, Tatiana wasn't everyone else. Yes, she had been a scared little bird when she came into Newnan. She was bubbly and bright. Always smiling, always trying to help others. Always an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. She didn't judge people by what they had done or said, just tried to find the root of the problem to help them. Even Richard. But that hadn't been a side of her that had shown lately, or in a very long time. She had been the strong stoic type. Keeping it bottled in. Dealing with the only thing that mattered, staying alive. That was until they had met the group from the helicopter. She seemed like that scared little bird all over again. Her husband knew the truth. Ash knew the truth. She was just good. Yet one could only keep it up for so long. Especially someone who one of her main traits was moody. This wasn't normal moody, this was uncharacteristically moody. Meaning she could flip from perfectly rational and calculating to full blown psycho in less than two point five seconds flat. And it normally wasn't over something major. Like with many things in life, it was the little things that made the world suddenly blur and one see red. Like getting a head shaved when people were dying, or someone saying something that wasn't exactly true, like when someone said they were fine when they really weren't but they were only saying that to protect everyone else. Ash said he was fine. Then he stopped and asked if there was something he should know. Tatiana's face was already turning red and she could feel the heat climbing in her cheeks. Like flames on the side of her face. "Oh da, there is something you need knov." She didn't even notice Riley coming over but that didn't matter. What was about to happen was set in stone as soon as the words I'm fine left his lips. Sure, Tatiana was a ballerina who was only 5'4" and barely weighed 120 pounds soaking wet. And so what if Ash was a battled hardened U.S. Soldier who stood at nearly 6 feet in height and outweighed the woman by a good 60 pounds. That didn't stop the young mothers fist from coming out of of nowhere and connecting like a sledgehammer against his cheek. It didn't stop Ash from sprawling out on the floor as he slid back against the cold tiles with a ballerina sized red mark on his cheek that actually split the skin where her wedding ring had cut the skin. And it sure as hell didn't stop the slew of Russian that came spilling from the woman's lips like a Dr. Cox-esque rant tearing into Newbie Lassie. Tatiana screamed. Tatiana never screamed. And this wasn't your average every day scream. This was blood curdling, emotional rage and breaking screaming as burning tears rolled down her cheeks and spit flew from her lips as she inched closer and closer to Ash with her fists balled so tight her knuckles went white. One could say - Tatiana wasn't exactly happy with the Captain right then. Her chest was heaving with ragged breaths as she stopped and stared the man down. She didn't know if he was going to yell back, strike back, or admit he wasn't fine, but she was ready for all three. It seemed she was finally letting out all the anger and pain that had been buried down deep for months now. Granted she had never said she was fine, she just said she didn't want to talk about it, so the news was new. That was, if anyone was able to make sense of that ramble. I will pm you what if anything your character is able to make out. He couldn't help but chuckle as he swatted something in front of his face. "Yeah man, that make you look like you actually have an ass. Careful now or ol' Sportacus might try to make a move on you. You do know that pants make the man," he said with a bit of a laugh before looking over at Sportacus and giving a condescending wink to him. He knew he shouldn't poke fun at the man but hell, Wayne was a zero fucks given type of man and tended to spout out whatever came to his mind without first letting it go through the part of his brain that could tell him it might not be a good idea. Hell, some people debated that Wayne just didn't have that little voice in his head, he had so many others that it got pushed out and evicted long ago. And well, Wayne didn't speak Latin but he did speak Italian which was pretty close but he just smirked and held up his cup, as if toasting the man. Whether he understood what he had said or not was up for debate. And it was a debate that wasn't going to happen because as he stood there he went to take another sip from his coffee. Turning slightly to looked over towards the little red headed momma and the man that had been speaking to Gunny earlier, only to suddenly see her fist connect with his face and send him spilling out on the floor like a drunken prom date with a broken heel. He spit his coffee out. "Holy fuck Batman!" he yelled out in shock and took a step closer. He didn't understand a word the woman said but made a wide circle around the once scared little bird to come around far off from the two so he could get a look at her face. He didn't know that someone's skin could get as red as her hair but it seemed it was very possible. "Damn, she's good," he said as he turned his head to the side and spoke to nothing at all. "Yeah, had me fooled," he chuckled before looking back and watching the rant continue as he took another sip of his coffee. Granted he could have been there just to get front row seats, or he could be there to try to break it up if it got worse. It could be either-or with Wayne. "You sure about me making that call?" he asked her. His brows raising slightly as he motioned towards the door. The Major however didn't move save for shaking her head no once again. "You sure?" he asked, seemed he was pretty set on his view points, whatever those were. She nodded. "Yes, I am sure. You know protocol, we follow them until we get order otherwise. Got it?" she said flatly. "Yeah, yeah, I got it Miss Major," he said with a scowl. "Are you sure? Or will I have to duct tape your lips to your ass to make sure you don't do anything stupid?" she asked. "Kinky," he said giving the woman a grin. Major rolled her eyes and looked back at the group. It was about that time that all hell broke loose and Tatiana decked Ash. "Fuck!" Panama said quickly and went to take a step, only to be stopped as Majors gun blocked his path, not pointing it at him but just moving it to get in his way. "Internal conflict, wait," Major said in a dry voice as she watched and listened. "You got all that?" he asked, curious. "Yup," she said with a nod. Panama held up his hand and pushed her gun away, nodding as he did and stepping back to his original position. "Preacher will be here soon enough," she added and Panama looked out the door, hoping now that the man would hurry his religious ass up. *Well that just happened - rolls were made in chat - so yeah, Ash failed to see that one coming LOL.
