Hello! Is it fine if I jump in with this character?

Race: ??? (A shade, perhaps)
Appearance: Pitch black skin, if it even is skin. Pupils that windows into the void. He at least has white sclera and pearly teeth, but that makes him all the more creepy when he smiles. His body is roughly the shape of a human but less defined. He's well built, but his arms are more poles than arms. He wears a shirt, pants, sandals, and satchel, all of which are charred colored. When he bleeds, a black, misty substance bleeds out.
Personality: An incessant talker. He doesn't know any manners, but he's a quick learner. Even though he gets turned down a lot, that doesn't stop him from initiating conversations. However, despite his cheery disposition, he has a hard time making strong connections, but when he does care, he cares deeply. 
Abilities: He's rather strong. He's never one for bladed or blunted weapons, preferring gauntlets. He's also proficient in first aid and a little bit of magic. He can also blend really well into the shadows. Oh, he also doesn't need to eat. Sunlight seems to provide him sustenance. 
Background: Doesn't remember much. He found himself in an abandoned castle someplace, but that's about it. Anything beyond that is learned.

Btw, I have no idea what my character is. Probably some magic ritual gone wrong or a some weird magic phenomena giving birth to an abomination. xD
