Penelope smiled as he pressed another quick kiss to her lips and gave a soft chuckle at his words. "I figured you would." she mused with a smirk. It was strange to think how much she had changed since meeting him. Two years ago she would have never thought to stray from the law or question it. If she hadn't met him, she probably never would have gain the title of lieutenant from Mia, who also seemed to slightly admire that trait about her—provided she didn't act too recklessly. As Crow settled on the bed, she shifted to get a bit more comfortable as well. The knight smiled at his words and nestled her head against his, closing her eyes. "I can't either." she mused softly. Thinking about their new future together, she felt a rush of affection and excitement. It was still a ways off,he still had to go through training and they'd have to start officially courting for a while before getting married, but it certainly felt much closer now than having to wait until the war's end. As always, she couldn't wait to begin her life with him and now, she'd have the additional perk of getting to keep the life she had always know. She peeked open her eyes to look over at him and smiled fondly to herself. She really was quite lucky to have met him and to have him at her side. He was giving up so much for her and even though she had been plenty willing to do the same for him, it still felt like a favor she could never fully return. Penelope press a couple affectionate kisses to his jawline before settling comfortably in his arms. Tired from a long day of walking and at ease in his arms, she felt herself beginning to drift off. "Goodnight, Crow. I love you." she mumbled as she closed her eyes and gave into her weariness, sinking into a peaceful sleep.
