[color=39b54a]This story was inspired by the novel, Solo Leveling, but will be influenced by several other titles from both light novels, graphic novels, and role-playing games.

Ten years ago, a gate that connected our world to one that was filled with strange creatures had opened. Since then, everyday people from all walks of life suddenly gain mysterious magical abilities that are used to combat these beasts and monsters. These individuals are referred to as Hunters. 

The year is 2020 and gates connecting to monster dungeons continue to open around the world. You find yourself within the bottom ranks of the Hunters’ Association, a worldwide organization that oversees the training and control of Hunters. They are similar to the UN but are much more reliable. Their stated goal is to protect humanity, at all cost. They have national branches, called Guilds, in almost all countries. However, higher level guilds are considered to hold power rivaling countries. 

That said, many Hunters are now contracted by cities, governments, or even corporations to take care of various jobs and raid dungeons before monsters even exit them.
