An only child, Walker was raised with lordship in mind. He paged and squired for Lord Franklyn Lolliston in Spiderwood in his teen days, spending many years away from Deepbank. He met Priscilla Ryger in passing once or twice but never spoke, and became infatuated with the girl, but it was decided that he would wed Rosamund Lolliston, eldest daughter of Lord Franklyn.

Walker returned to Deepbank aged 18, a knight. He discovered from his maester that he had fertility problems and struggled to concieve a child, but, aged 25, eventually managed to sire one son; Symon. Despite growing to have affection for his wife in his own way, Walker's obsession with Priscilla overpowered his relationship. When he learned that Edwyn Landry married her, he was furious, and it greatly contributed to his lasting hatred for the man.

Rosamund became pregnant with a second child ten years after Symon's birth, but fell sick during pregnancy and passed before she could give birth. This left Walker with Symon, a cowardly, unskilled boyn as his only heir, which continued to pile on to the fire that was his hatred. Walker's attitude in the years that followed would be bitter and unkind.

Walker is known to be bitter and cruel, going out of his way to make those he dislikes suffer, and holding grudges for decades. No grudge of his is more potent than his with House Landry. The families have always hated eachother, but Walker particularly detests Lord Edwyn. His code of honour is typically fairly resolute, but some claim that he fled from a battlefield during Robert's Rebellion, which has led to his enemies mockingly naming him 'the Cowardly Riverlord'. His wife fifteen-years dead, and his son a disappointment to him, he is often frustrated and aggressive in attitude. Nonetheless, he cares first and foremost about the legacy of his family, and it's safety.

Walker is stern-faced and cold-eyed, with icy blue irises. His face is weathered, but strong and rigid. His receding hair is a greying brown, and his bear is almost fully grey. He stands at 6'2 and has a fairly strong build. He typically wears armour.
