Name | Corona Age | 18 Gender | Female Level/Tier | Virtuoso, Tier 2 House | Machina Appearance/Attire | She stood a little bit taller than most of the girls her age, thanks to her always eating nutritious, healthy food ever since she was little, given by her old woman. She doesn't really have any muscles, and she's slightly underweight. She always dresses casually and modestly, with loose-fitting and airy garments. Her favorite attire was her white one-piece dress worn with a green cloth jacket as the outerwear and a black tanktop as the innerwear. She never wears shoes or boots, preferring sandals or even going barefooted. Alignment | Benefactor Personality/Habits | She has a calm and collected personality, always thinking and analyzing before acting. She possesses a strong and silent will, not really caring much about the opinion of the public as long as she thinks her actions are right. She has an almost insatiable desire for knowledge, and she appreciates people who share that desire. That's why she's willing to give some tutoring lessons to other students. Background | Before she came to the academy, she was merely an apothecary of a poor village. She never knew her parents, much less her lineage, as she was a foundling. The old lady who took her in said that she found her in the near city, crying amongst the trash heap. This naturally made her sad at first, especially when the other village kids teased and bullied her for it, but it didn't take long until she put it all in the past. It didn't matter who she was born as. What mattered is who she was right now. The old lady taught her everything she knew about mixing medicinal herbs ever since an early age. And she was truly gifted in absorbing that knowledge. In a tender age of eight, she already was a fully fledged apothecary. Just in time before the old lady lost her life. She never returned from one of her usual ingredient gathering trips. The people of the village said that she must have been mauled by one of the many beasts lurking around the forest. She didn't believe it at first, but once she saw the village's hunter giving her the remains of her tattered, bloodied cloth, she knew what they spoke were true. And so, from that day on, she took over as the village's healer. At first, people doubted her ability, thanks to how young she was, but eventually, she won over them as she proved time and time again that she was just as competent as her old woman. Eventually however, she felt dissatisfied with her life. She wished to know and experience more of all sorts of things, not just stuck being the village doctor for the rest of her life. As so when she learned of the academy, she decided that she would go and learn things from there. Naturally, she entered Machina and she quickly became one of the top students there. She became the president of the Future Tech club as well, with Esther acting as her vice-president. Favorite Summons | The only summons she uses (or at least, the only ones she uses in public) are her alien bits. They're originally part of a hive mind self-replicating nanite-like alien race. Controlled by what she would call the Mother Brain, their sole goal is to create more of their own kind. And they do that by converting all sorts of matter they stumble upon into. When she summons them, she severs their link with said Mother, replacing it with a link to her. Essentially, she becomes their new Mother Brain. Each one is around the size of a basketball and there are usually five of them floating around her at any given time. They're all networked into her brain, allowing a near-instantaneous sending of command as if they were part of her own body. They could also work autonomously however with simple commands, like when she was asleep where they would guard her and wake her up if anyone approaches her. They could shapeshift into pretty much all kinds of shapes, thanks to the flexibility of the exotic matter they're made out of. She also uses them as memory storage, expanding her own capability and speed of memorization to that of a superhuman. It assists her greatly in her studies. She could also see and hear through all of them simultaneously, so they all acted as extra pairs of ears and eyes. She's still working on the next possible level of synchronization, where she could upload her consciousness into them and issue commands to her natural flesh-and-blood body from there. She's aware of the side effect of her connection with them. Her brain is slowly but surely being transformed from a normal one into one much more similar to the so-called "Mother Brain" that originally controlled them back in their own world. That's why when she first made her connection, she was assaulted with constant migraines and headaches, as their interfacing was still quite incompatible. But now, the headaches are all but gone. Checking in with her mentors, she's informed that her brain is indeed more of an alien brain than that of a human one. She didn't care however, as she recognized the new brain as superior to her old one. Without it, she could never be able to process all the extra data the bits are sending to her at every second without her being confused. And of course, they have the ability of shooting lasers out of their eyes. As well as the ability to analyze compositions of things as they need to analyze things before they could absorb them. She also has the capability to summon microscopic nanites she could use to heal diseases. Using the increased processing and memory capabilities of her transformed brain, as long as she knew the causes to a disease, she could imagine a nanite that could counteract said causes and then summon it to the real world. It's a feat only possible through a deep understanding of how nanites work and how diseases work. She's not fond of wearing any lengthy dresses as she felt they impede her movement and she doesn't like wearing shorts either. Alignment | Radical Personality/Habits | Being a machine radicalist, she believes that the more machinery helps mankind, the more everyone will prosper and lead happy lives. Her goal in life is to usher in that machine civilization era, no matter what stands in the way, be it tradition, religion, or just a bunch of nature spirit-worshiping hippies. In that aspect, you can say she is being overly arrogant and ambitious. However, unlike the kind of arrogance your typical nobles show to the commoners, she would be willing to befriend anyone happily. As long as you don't insult her beliefs, that is. Other than that, she's a cheerful, somewhat tomboyish girl. She has a bad habit of carelessly moving around with her short dress, resulting in her flashing her panties to the world. Corona often scolds her about this matter. Background | She was born in the slums of the capital. Ever since she was little, she had to live a harsh and unforgiving life. Her father left her mother once he impregnated her, and her mother soon left her as well due to her illness. So many days she had to starve, surviving by eating garbage put out by the more well-off. She even became a pickpocket and a thief once like many of her peers, but after a terrible admonishment by her then bedridden mother, where she refused to even touch all the food she had brought her thanks to them being earned from an immoral source, she never repeated it ever again. She had to survive several more years in the slums on her own. And in those years, she picked up her skill as a mechanic, which she just had a natural knack with. It helped her a lot through those years, with her tinkering at trinkets and machines, fixing them for a price or refurbishing them to be sold. And then, one day, she had her fated meeting with Corona. She learned about the Academy from her and she decided that she wanted to study there as well. The two then traveled together, and they were eventually accepted together through the same scholarship process. She soon realized how useful machines could be for society from her studies. If we could mass produce them, no one would ever have to go hungry again! The more she studied, the more she became obsessed with machinery. Her skill as a mechanic grew leaps and bounds. And she remained as close as ever with Corona, who she admired for daring to surpass her human limits through her brain transformation. Corona didn't really share her drive to revolutionize society with machines, but she shared her belief in progress, and how humanity should transcend nature instead of becoming part of it. These days, the two always worked together in their projects. She acted as the vice-president of the future tech club. She left the actual leadership stuff to Corona. She's more mature and she was and she's more interested in the research aspect anyways. She also joined the Chronicle Club as a writer, so that she could spread her ideology through the school newspaper. As a result, the newspaper had an entire page dedicated to her showing off the awesomeness of machines, named Esther's Amazing Machines and How They Could Help You On Your Daily Life. She also joined the culture club, solely to evangelize the machine culture she envisions. Favorite Summons | She only possesses one single core summon which she christened as "The Castle". Its size had grew over the years she studied in the Academy. At first, it was the size of her palm, merely a machine fish with legs. Now, it was big enough that she could take a ride on top of it without it falling over. It grew due to her attaching and replacing its components over and over as her understanding of machinery increased, improving it by leaps and bounds, adding more and more add-ons to it. The connection between them certainly helped, as with it, she could shape the castle to fit the blueprints she had imagined. It was a feat only possible because of her deeply intimate knowledge of every single nook and corner of her summon. The Castle now possessed cannons that it could fire at will, with an automated reload system at place. The fish mouth could open and release miniature automated planes that would attack the enemy with miniature machine guns and bombs. The mouth could also breathe fire and bite its opponent if necessary, though naturally, while doing so, it wouldn't be able to launch any planes. It could even retract its spider legs and fly itself with rockets for a short period of time. Its most amazing ability however was the one not related to combat at all. It was the ability of processing raw materials into processed ones. It could handle all sorts of metals, wood, minerals, and even gems. Naturally, she abused this to create the parts she needed. She even used it to produce tools to be sold to other people, so that she could get extra money. The Castle possessed a rudimentary AI. She didn't know how it came to be however, as the Castle just suddenly started talking all of a sudden one day. It could barely think on its own, but it clearly wished to be useful to its master. She had to continue ordering it around, especially in combat. At least it could distinguish between the various kinds of raw materials, took them into its body on its own using its many crane arms and process them on its own.
