You could probably make up some of your own but there are things like Manticores, Dire Creatures, Chimera... Couple of other things you could think like that probably.  I think in a discussion (I'm not sure what the exact limits that Art wants are) but we talked about some limits of beastmen or the such.  You could even use some craziness from Monster Hunter as an example if you really wanted.  Fire Breathing Lions are always a bit scary.
