Her hair is a long chocolate brown just like her mother's. Her skin tone can be described as a warm ivory. Her eyes are a light hazel and look almost exactly like her father's. There is a singular scar on her right cheek. Ade is about 5'7" and weighs 109 pounds. Ade dresses based on comfortableness. She doesn't care what her clothes look like as long as it is a nice feeling. Typically Ade has her hair down, but will occasionally have her hair up in a ponytail. She usually does this when she is doing archery, cooking, or gardening. She also refuses to wear jewelry of any kind. A timid but very passionate person. Ade is strong-willed when it comes to certain things. She is stubborn, and it seems as if no one can get her to change her mind without her fighting back. Ade is also a very caring individual that desires to help as many people as possible. She is not a very good liar, but her secrets are not easy to crack open. One thing that will cause her to break away from her timidness is if someone threatens or insults someone she is close to or cares about. Especially her younger sister. On October 1st, 1989, forty-three extraordinary children were born to mostly single women, who had shown no signs of pregnancy, in seemingly random locations around the world. Seven of the number were adopted by Sir Reginal Hargreeves. The rest were either abandoned or kept by the unexpected parents, Adelinde is one of the latter. She was born to the unexpectant Mira Dey. Unlike the majority of her kind, Adelinde's mother was married and already had another child. Thankfully, Ryon Dey accepted the child as his own. The couple's daughter, Eliza, unfortunately, did not. The relationship between the sisters was always tense. Not wanting their new daughter to feel like an outcast, Ryon and Mira chose to hide the circumstances of Ade's birth from everyone other than close friends and family. Even hiding it from Ade herself. It was fairly easy to keep the secret as the tiny family lived out in the middle of nowhere. For eight years everything was fine other than the occasional fight between Eliza and Ade until Mira and Ryon were expecting another child. Everything was fine throughout the course of the pregnancy but for some reason, Ade started hearing things. It was only whenever she got close to her mother and what she heard was always an echo of the noises happening nearby but muffled. When the time came for the child to be born something happened. Adelinde was left home with Eliza babysitting her. The girls both stayed in their rooms but around the time that the birth was occurring Adelinde began screaming in pain. Her head was being assaulted with all sorts of things, the most primary of which, was the pain and anguish that her mother was feeling. The flooding of information was causing Adelinde's head to feel like it may explode. Eliza was rightfully concerned and even though they weren't exactly the closest did everything to help. That's when she heard it. Eliza's thoughts were primarily focused on Adelinde and eventually, she pondered the question of if her being one of the 43 had something to do with it. Not long after that, the sounds stopped coming. Other than the natural noises around her and the occasional thought from Eliza everything was quiet. Somewhere deep down, Adelinde knew something was wrong. Not just because of the sudden influx of noise, for lack of a better term, to her brain but because of how suddenly it ceased. While talking to Eliza about what had just happened and Eliza explaining to Ade what she was as best she could, a phone call came bearing bad news. During the pregnancy, there had been complications. Mira and the baby, Elysia, both came through the pregnancy but Mira was very weak and two months later she died. Initially, Adelinde hid away in her room as often as she could. She could still hear the noise and she also had no desire to see her new sister as she blamed Elysia for their mother's death. At the very least, Eliza and Ade surprisingly became closer. Things would get worse before they could get better. The noise kept coming and going in waves. There was no off switch or anything of the sorts but it did seem to die down for a bit after particularly hard nights. Ryon and Eliza tried to help but there was nothing they could do. They took her to a psychiatrist not really knowing who else to turn to. The psychiatrist simply thought she was mentally ill, not connecting the dots of her being a member of the 43, and prescribed her with medication. It did help to subdue the noise but if anyone near to her was under severe emotional or physical stress then there was a high chance for their thoughts to get through. Other than that, for some reason despite the medication, she could always hear the 'voice' of Elysia. Years later Adelinde has rarely left her home becoming a shut-in as she doesn't want to risk hearing the noise. Over time, Adelinde grew closer to Elysia as the girl when younger had become attached to her. This was largely due to how Elysia was mute and, for reasons she was never told, Adelinde always knew what was on her mind. Currently, Adelinde lives alone at her childhood home. She makes money as an author of a few high selling books. She also in her spare time writes on a blog to do with gardening. She can even discern the various sensations going through their mind even if they aren't exactly thinking about it. Unfortunately, though she doesn't know how to control it so the activity of other people's brains are constantly entering her head. The only way to block it out is if she is extremely focused or on her medication. Even then it some times may bleed through if someone nearby is experiencing serious mental, physical, or emotional stress. The signal is typically muffled but the closer, whether it be physically or emotionally, she is with someone the clearer it would be. Enough focus can increase the clarity. She has no effect on what someone thinks. She is merely as a passenger to the sensations that go through a person's brain.
