Looking his best is very important to him: his shoes are always polished and his outfits accessorized accordingly. His impeccable memory is likely to blame, often using what he's learned to his advantage. Their territory is the celebrity scene, with glitz and glam being their livelihood. Arguably one of the first 'famous families', the Samaels are the definition of new money, splurging their wealth and making a name for themselves. It started with Nikolette Avalon, who defied her father's wishes to wed a noble and instead made a name for herself as an actress. She fell in love with the esteemed director Clementus Samael, and together the two seemed to pump out hit after hit, valuing the art of film making and acting. That being said, the future generation focused more on the fame aspect, riding on the coattails of the Samael name and building an empire out of it. Some stuck to the acting, some branched out. Though it wasn't until Pandora Samael and her stringing along the proper people that the Samael name became so well known. Mixing the life of glamour with attention grabbing scandals, she knew exactly how to manipulate the public, letting them see what she wanted them to see and coming out on top every time. She would pass down her techniques to her two children, Eris and Harmonia. Both would step into the spotlight in their own ways, the latter seeing just how much chaos she could muster through people before getting caught. Even then Harmonia had no shame, gleefully playing the part of a bad girl to capture the attention of her audience. Eris, on the other hand, relied more on actually acting, though he somehow managed to keep himself out of scandals, prioritizing a good image to pose as the 'good boy' of the pair to contrast his sister. Starting off in theater productions and intent on making a name for himself without relying on his family, he found his niche in the romance genre as the teenage heartthrob, his charisma bouncing off of the screen. He struck gold when he was cast as Landar Starag in The Blood War, a dramatized retelling of the making of the treaty with a romance at its focus. His fame exploded at that point, cementing his status as an esteemed actor and shooting him to the top of the charts. Showered in critical praise, Eris could do no wrong from that point on. He had the attention of the masses, noticing just how fascinated people--vampires and humans alike--seemed to be with his personal life. His career was meticulously planned from that point on, cautiously spinning his web as he climbed his way to the top, gaining enough tract to shut anyone up who thought they had dirt on him and simultaneously winning the hearts of millions with his performances and squeaky clean image. That being said, he started looking to get out of the spotlight once the invitation to attend the Noila Academy came in, hoping for a small break from fame to educate himself. Or at least, that was the statement given when interviewed, his actual intentions shrouded in mystery. Either way, getting to finagle around nobility and little mages piqued his interest, so at the very least he knew he was going to have fun.
[sub]Depicted: Eris Samael as Landar Starag and Rosaline Blackdale as Ursula[/sub] The movie follows Landar Starag, a fire mage who was both mankind's strongest and leader of humanity, starting with a scene of him standing on a field after a battle. The film flashes back to said battle, resulting in the blood of both human and vampire spilled, with a display of magic bringing him back to present time. After letting out a tired-sounding sigh, he turns away, cape billowing in the wind as he strides towards a camp. There are many wounded, but Landar remains strong as he enters a tent, finding a group of four mages [Gerard, Theodore, Eloise, and Alma] squabbling. His arrival silences them for a moment, although one - Gerard, the fire mage - informs Landar that they are fighting a losing battle. Despite insisting that they need to keep fighting, once he is alone, Landar quietly wonders if this is the end of humanity. He saves her, and she reveals to him the nature of the creature: it was a Lycanthrope, a creature that was once man transformed into a hideous beast. He tells her he can keep her safe, and she introduces herself as Ursula. Taking her back to camp, he arrives in time to see his troops attacked by more of the monsters. Together, they manage to ward off the threat, though the attack leaves the camp crippled. Eloise, the earth mage, embarks on a mission to warn the nearest city of the Lycanthrope threat. Ursula reveals a location where the troops can hide and properly recover. Following her advice, she is questioned by Theodore, the air mage, on how she knew about the location, though an encounter with vampires interrupts. One vampire general, a man named Arlo, has clashed with Landar in the past. However, it seems Arlo's troops were also attacked, and after halting the battle, Landar convinces his group to move along. Despite being wary, the two groups cross without incident, although Alma, the water mage, notices Arlo staring Ursula down. It turns out the vampires are struggling against the Lycanthropes just as much as the humans are, and a proposal is offered: to unite against the threat, banning vampires from hunting humans in exchange for mages serving vampires. The offer is met with much hostility, including Landar himself turning it down (albeit much more respectfully). After some time and more battles and losses, Ursula approaches him, reminding him of the offer. Landar denies needing the help of vampires, citing the years humanity suffered as a viewpoint, though she also reminds him that with the mages that remained, there was little hope in humanity fighting both threats, extinction inevitable at this point. After their conversation, Theodore manages to remove Ursula's pendant and burns her arm in the sunlight, revealing her as a vampire. The pendant protected her from the sun and allowed her to masquerade as a human. They take her prisoner, and when Landar asks her why she deceived them, she admits that she didn't plan on it: the attack Landar saved her from had wiped out the entirety of her group, and she had planned to leave once she repaid him (by guiding the group to safety). When he asks why she didn't leave, she reveals that she fell in love with him, wanting him to live and not get hunted down like the rest of the mages. Confused and denying his own feelings, Landar leaves. Once again, the vampires extend their offer, the messenger unintentionally revealing how dire the circumstances are at this rate. This time, the five mages are unsure of what to do, their troops still healing. Of course, the Lycanthropes find them, and another bloody battle begins. The surprise attack claims Alma's life and Theodore's arm, though Landar manages to lead the remaining Lycanthropes away, fully intending to sacrifice himself. With nothing left to lose, he goes all out and manages to kill all but one. Wounded, he accepts his fate, but as the last one strikes, Ursula, who had escaped her confinement, sacrifices herself so that Landar could kill it. The two share a kiss, Ursula dying of her wounds shortly afterwards. Despite wanting to protest, they recognize they have lost too much, with Landar, Gerald, and Alma going forth. They secure an audience with the Queen, who makes the offer once more, and Landar, remembering Ursula, agrees. The Treaty is created, and after gathering all the forces they could muster, they have one final battle against the Lycanthropes. Despite the loss of Gerard, the war is finally won, and Landar appoints himself as the Queen's mage, wearing Ursula's pendant as the credits roll. Apparently it was so annoying that the director instructed Samael to wear contacts. [*]Won numerous awards, including Eris Samael's first Best Actor. [*]Was one of the first films where, with the exception of three major scenes, the entire film takes place during 'daylight', accomplished with numerous lighting tricks and CGI. Despite knowing the time likely didn't matter, the director felt it added authenticity to the film, as most of the characters were human. [*]Featured one of the first human actors, James Hawthorne, who played Theodore. He is mage to Fiona Wildegreene, who played Eloise. [*]The romance between Landar and Ursula was written in at the last minute. Ursula was only supposed to be an ally, though she was upgraded to love interest after the chemistry between Eris Samael and Rosaline Blackdale was shown during their first scene when Landar rescues Ursula.

[*]A prop from said film, a sun shaped pendant, is usually seen on his person. Supposedly the director gave it to him, but in truth he swiped it and no one noticed. [*]Started his acting career in theater before landing his first role. While he wouldn't mind returning to his roots, he knows he's on a roll as a movie actor and intends to capitalize on it. [*]
To Those I Knew - [Action] : (Played Young Derek Clayton) A man delves into his past in order to find his father's murderer. Was Eris' film debut. Scarlet Letter - [Romantic Drama] : (Played Elliot Rogers) A forbidden romance between a vampire noble and a peasant human. The film was considered the first instance of Eris falling into the heartthrob typecasting, with marketing focused more on his good looks and scenes despite his costar being the main character. Rise of the Blade - [Action] : (Starred as Nathan Jameson) A man sets out on a quest for vengeance. The plot was deemed a little too simple, but the film made up for it greatly with its intense action sequences. Marked the point where Eris began to train in order to perform his own stunts and would begin to study in order to get into his roles better. The Blood War - [Historical Drama] : (Starred as Landar Starag) A dramatized story detailing the formation of the Treaty. Eris' star making role and usually the one film everyone thinks of when talking about Eris' career. He wasn't a big fan of details being changed, but couldn't deny that they made for a great story. For You - [Drama] : (Starred as Troy Anderson) A disowned duke sets out to become the lord of his family. Notable in that his sister Harmonia also played a role. However, the two clashed due to Harmonia feeding from another vampire's mage. Despite their public image being salvaged thanks to some help, he found her too reckless to work with and would keep his distance. Clandestine - [Romantic Comedy] : (Played Michael Umbert) Two spies fall in love, shenanigans ensue. It was an open secret that Eris had agreed to do the film only because of its location, though as to what he did while he was there, no one knows. Sunset - [Romance] : (Starred as James Reyes) Two vampires from opposing families decide to have a secret relationship. The film came out recently, with many rumors of the two leads (Eris and Samantha Petra) having gotten together during filming. The rumors were false, but both sides let it play out to benefit from the other's star power.
