In ancient times, my ancestor bound his bloodline to the spirit of Ashtai, Her spirit still moves within me today. As long as Her bloodline survives within this plane, Ashtai survives, and as long as she survives she will fight il-Lashtavar. As the war continues in Dal-Quor, the dream realm, between light and dark, so too the battle of light and dark rages in this realm. My enemy, and the enemy of the entirety of the Kalashtar race, the il-Lashtavar is also known as The Darkness That Dreams. Il-Lashtavar create and are strengthened by terrible nightmares, containing horrors of unimaginable cruelty and hopelessness. They intend to stop the new age of Light from beginning in Dal-Quor. Their spirit invades creatures of this realm to spread the influence of il-Lastavar as well. These slave like beings are known as "the Inspired", and control the majority of Sarlona. My religion is known as The Path of Light. I believe in the universal force known as Il-Yannah, or "The Great Light". The Risen Quori, inhabitants of Dal-Quor have risen up to fight against il-Lashtavar in that realm, and the Kalashtar have willingly fused their mind and spirit with that of The Risen, In order to bring about the age of peace and light in Dal-Quor and help spread that light in this realm as well. Captured during an assault on my home city, I was sold to a Warforged slave trader and brought to this continent. Forced to fight as gladiator, I did my best to keep my dignity and with the beliefs of The Path of Light, but the experience has jaded me, and I struggle to forgive myself and make up for the i was able to escape my captors. Now far from where I was brought and fought for so long, and usually changing my disguise every week or so, I still keep a watchful eye for the agents of The Dreaming Dark that are sent to assassinate me. I continue to practice and Spread the teachings of Il-Yannah, and battle in arenas and fighting pits as a means of income and as a way to perform. When I fight, I fight with the Spirit of Il-Yannah and use it as a means of preaching.
