Age: 20 Gender: Female Appearance: It depends, really. When she doesn't have a reason to mess around, she'll generally stick to the appearance held above - not much different than a typical college kid. Her clothes are usually baggy, mostly to facilitate whatever shift she feels necessary without drawing too much attention, but more strikingly than that is the constantly unnerving changes she makes. Really, she just finds it funny to watch the reaction when she looks up with eyes shining red and snakelike, or teeth too sharp to be human. As a tattoo climbs her arm, moving as though it were alive, down to hands with skin gone see-through. So for the most part, she'll never look quite normal unless it's needed, playing around with her power constantly; as though she sees the whole thing as an entertaining game. Eventually, you get used to it. If she knows you, she'll make herself recognisable - if she likes you, she might even try not to be unnerving, but don't count on it. Abilities: Shapeshift - put simply, she can change her form however she pleases. Of course, she can't use it to give herself powers, but she can change her size - to some extent, her upper limit being little more than an extra foot of height and bulk, her lower being the size of your average ten-year-old - and isn't necessarily limited to making herself look human. She can't increase her strength or senses beyond those of a regular person either, and of course, it's limited to her own body. Changing what she's wearing is something she'd have to do for herself. She doesn't find it too difficult to mimic others, but only their appearance. Personality, mannerisms, and other non-physical aspects are things she would actively need to learn. With an inhibitor, the speed of her ability is highly limited; while she can still change her appearance, to do so completely takes upwards of twenty minutes uninterrupted focus. Not something she'd ever be given time to do, at any rate. For the most part, she's restricted to small, if unnerving, changes when it's in place. Interestingly enough, she doesn't seem to have a "base appearance" in the sense that her ability would force a default. The usual form taken is, it seems, just a choice she's made. For the most part she sticks to camouflage, scare tactics, and evasion. When it comes to a fight, Cameron is far better off finding a way to escape. Wounds and injuries will also persist in whatever form they can, though she can cover them up superficially - a broken bone will remain broken. She also can't eliminate anything vital, of course. No matter what her shape, she's still fundamentally human, and can't exactly survive without her organs. Skills: Honestly, she likes to think she has more skills than she really does. For the most part, Cam's skills are people-focused, and she's one hell of an actor. She's perceptive and good at spotting a lie, though not supernaturally so, and has a tendency to find people's sore spots with her more barbed remarks. What she does at least have some grasp of is first-aid, learned mostly out of necessity; but she's not remotely squeamish, and finds it easy enough to act with what knowledge she has in a crisis. Equipment: A backpack containing several sets of clothes, hats, and a pair of sunglasses. Most of what she owned was confiscated following her capture, so even by compound standards, she's not got much in her possession. Biography: Born to a rich family, Cameron wasn't the earliest bloomer, and with her power, that turned out to be more than a little inconvenient. She had a tendency to wander - even when young, she'd never be where she was meant to - but combined with the appearance of her power, neglectful parenting, and a lack of understanding on her part it left the youngster on the missing persons list. The search party came across her more than once; but all knew she wasn't the person they were looking for. Her fear of being outed as a Deviant right after the Sabbath overrode her initial instinct to explain, and so she found herself on the street. Or himself, at that time; seemed safer, as decisions went. These things got confusing, and Cameron honestly found it difficult to keep track. For a while, it worked for her, changing her appearance, sleeping in camouflage, taking advantage of the luxuries provided, and moving on every time people started to figure her out. But even with a power like hers that meant she could avoid too much suspicion, making it forever in the luxurious city was far too ambitious an endeavour. It wasn't the early years that got her caught. Then, she was paranoid, jumpy, always looking over her shoulder. Changed her name, changed how she looked, changed everything until she couldn't be sure who she'd been in the first place. It was later, when she grew relaxed and lazy, that she was spotted; and of course, any report of an unsupervised Deviant in the city, especially with such a potentially irritating power, was acted on quickly and firmly. After that, the end was inevitable; caught the eye of a Peacekeeper, and one mandatory test later, they'd found their Deviant. Of course, they didn't take kindly to how long she'd seemingly been making a mockery of their system. Well, that combined with a string of incidents they could pin on her, some her fault, some not at all, and the inadvisable amount of attitude directed at the Peacekeepers who chipped and captured her. Dropped off in the compound mere days ago, Cameron was a wreck upon arrival. Between that, and failing to adjust to the rigid rules and curfews of the compound, she hasn't exactly been doing well recently. Not that anyone else gets to know that. Compared to what she's used to, it's barely even an effort to hide.
