Even the stuff that fits perfectly are second hand and are as such a bit worn. Over all Kyosuke prefers clothes where fit isn’t quite a factor (like his open-front, tucked-in shirt (on pic)), or clothes that are slightly too big due to them being more comfortable to wear than the alternative.

Off duty Kyosuke wears the same clothes as he does on duty, with the exception of his leg-holster.

[indent][color=gray]▸[/color]	[b]History:[/b][indent]Entirely unknown to him, Kyosuke was born in the slummy part of an already poor village, probably in a dirty alley. It is also unknown if the day he celebrates as his birthday is the actual day of his birth. He does not know who his parents were, their fate or almost literally anything about his life before the orphanage.

Kyosuke’s parents were a couple of down-on-their-luck refugees, farmers from near the border between Land of Wind and Amegakure’s territory. Their home and land was destroyed in a freak storm and knowing that no aid was coming, they decided to go to the ninja village and try their luck. Things did not go well for them, and it was not long before they had both succumbed to prostitution and drugs both as a means of living, and as a vice. Kyosuke was born in the autumn and proved to be a healthy child despite his parents situation, living in a drug den. That winter both Kyosuke’s parents died, and someone else in the den took it upon themselves to look after the infant child. As people, came and left, died, became too violent or disconnected with reality Kyosuke was passed from one person to the next over a period of a few years. He ended up at the orphanage by mistake as his latest surrogate parent got into their head that the orphanage paid money for children and tried to collect. Whoever it was probably saved Kyosuke’s life, and definitely saved him from a life in the gutter, and was rewarded by a swift kick out the door. 

Life in the orphanage was rough. As soon as he could stand up he was enrolled in their shinobi training sessions. He learned how to mold chakra, throw shuriken and fight with a kunai while his hands were really too small to hold it properly. He rarely performed very well in the physical ninja arts, but did have the talent necessary to mold chakra and was allowed to continue but was spared a future in the Arashi no Shugo-sha (he did see their recruiters come and take some other children, but did not at the time know who or what they were, and still don’t). 
 
The orphanage was a vicious circle for Kyosuke. He became an outsider of outsiders. Because of his poor physical abilities he had a hard time to make friends. Because he had a hard time making friends he never got to train his social abilities. Because he never got to train his social abilities he could not convince someone to train with him and so on and so forth. In fact, because he was an outcast he was an even easier target for the bigger, stronger kids. The people managing the orphanage mostly let it happen as they thought a good beating would build stronger ninjas. He thinks of his time in the orphanage as the worst in his life.

Going to the ninja academy was like flipping a coin. The orphanage used the old training system that focused heavily on physical combat, while the academy instead tried to train more well-rounded ninjas. Kyosuke took to reading like a moth to a flame, and very soon found out that his under-stimulated brain could be turned into his greatest strength with the tricky art of genjutsu. Thanks to the academy performing proper aptitude tests he also figured out he had a talent for chakra control which is essential for med-nins. He was excused from the harshest training sessions and instead put into special classes to learn how to turn his imagination and understanding of the human anatomy and psyche into a tool to aid allies or a weapon to crush his foes. He was good at something, for the first time in his life.

Some of the other students started to show some interest in him, after all the specialist classes were not as packed as the general ones, so you had a limited amount of people to talk to. Because of his orphanage background Kyosuke pulled away from anything that did not explicitly require group work. He’d stay after class ended or be the first one out the door to avoid his “class mates”. He never went (or got invited) to hang out or spend time after school or anything like that. 

He never got used to the social environment of the academy, but learned to manage it somewhat. Mostly giving short replies when someone asked, but rarely talking of his own accord. He was branded shy, and was pretty fine to be on his own with a book instead of surrounded by people. He finished his shinobi education in the bottom 50% of the class, held down by his rather poor physical skills, but with special dispensation due to his performance in the medical field.
He still goes back to the orphanage to get “new” clothes that have been donated that doesn’t fit the other kids.

He started to pick up strange details about people close to him. The melody of someone’s speech, the way someone walks, the subtle ways in which the people coming in from shuriken-practice moved their hands and fingers differently. Perhaps this is why he is so well-suited for genjutsu.[/i][/indent]
