Personality -  Kenji is often seen as a cold and calculated person when it comes to important missions and jobs that require focus.  When he is around friends and off the clock however he is more relaxed, sarcastic, and joking.  While he is stubborn and headstrong he is respectful to those above him and follows orders.  A fierce worker, Kenji is most often seen training in one of the various training fields or with his team vowing that he will never let anyone close to him die.

Village - Sand
Background - Kenji was born to Jounin father and a normal village mother who loved and cared for him deeply.  He was the third born out of 4 with an older brother and sister along with a younger sister bringing up the rear.  Much like their father, all four had dreams of one-day becoming proud shinobi warriors of the village hidden in the sand.  Growing up the four were inseparable in their free time, always playing games and practicing with each other more so than anyone at their school.  Unlike himself Kenji’s older brother showed proficiency at the use of Genjutsu, his older sister was a talented medical ninja, his little sister began to show signs of a great sensory ninja and Kenji himself took to using his family's signature weapon with ease.  Everything was looking up for the family seeing as these four would make an unstoppable force of nature on the battlefield with each of their specialties.  Unfortunately, the start of the great shinobi war would put an end to that dream.

While Kenji was still at the academy his family received the notice that both his older brother and sister had been caught in an ambush by a group of Stone shinobi and never made it back.  The family mourned greatly for the loss in private knowing that other family had lost greatly in the battle.  Continuing on as if life was normal Kenji never showed any signs of anything being different in the family besides his change in training and how seriously he took his studies just telling people who asked, that his siblings had just been volunteering to stay in the field rather than return home.

Equipment - 
Chain Whips-  Like his father before him Kenji use two Chain whips when fighting.  Unlike a traditional chain whip Kenji’s are connected to a slightly larger knife similar to a Kuni.  Each chain is wrapped around his upper form arms and hidden under his long sleeve.   

Basic tools- Kuni, Shuriken, and other tools commonly found by ninja.  
 
Clothing - Kenji wears a grey undershirt below a usually open jacket that is either black or tan.  Even though he lives in the desert he leaves his sleeves down most of the time to conceal his Chain Whips.  While only up in a fight Kenji keeps a bandana around his neck that he pulls up to keep the sand from his mouth and face.       
Personal Items -  a small necklace belonging to his older brother that was recovered from his body.
