So, I've been kind of wanting to do a world rp, sort of. More like a nation rp than the whole world. I've had this idea floating around my mind. 

First and foremost: [b][u]This RP does have major potential for very mature content. In fact, it is highly preferred.[/u][/b]

So the idea is that your character is thrust on to a large island/mini continent(I'm thinking maybe something the size of India, or maybe something almost the size of Australia). By what means, I haven't worked out yet. We can discuss that in OOC. Anyway, they are put on this large island/mini continent. They are placed there and put in charge of running the whole continent. 

The twist? The continent has few dozen or so eras and kingdoms on it. That's right. Ancient Egypt, Medieval Europe, Modern Day... everything, Ancient Greece and Rome, Ancient China. And it's not just current or old eras. There's also future SciFi parts as well. Not only are there SciFi Earth societies, there's SciFi alien societies, scifi fantasy, medieval fantasy, ancient fantasy Egypt, supernatural, etc. Pretty much anything and everything exists on this continent that your character has to run. 
(Might tone it down a bit, depends on what my partner wants or is looking for, but I would love to have this continent pretty much be everything in one.)

So, you might be wondering, is this off Earth because it's a brand new continent outside of historical and current knowledge?
Well, that's up to you to decide. But after writing this, I actually came up with a few ideas. So let's get those out of the way.


[hider=Idea 1: Alien forced show (Not that into this idea as much as the others, but it is an option)]
Basically, Aliens have invaded Earth. They are too strong for Humans to fight, and there are many losses and what not. The aliens however offer a deal after a few months of fighting. If Humans will, the aliens leave no problems. If the aliens win, Humans become a slave species to them. So the deal? A random human is picked from the population and placed into the continent above. The aliens are super advanced and have time travel and what not... I know, lazy, but it's the best I can come up with right now. 

Anyway, the deal: One human will rule the continent for a whole 2 years. If even one society collapses or your character is over thrown or killed (Later being revived by the aliens to serve them), the Humans lose. But if your character manages to make it the two years, the humans win. However, the whole thing will be streamed to everyone on Earth for them to watch, and it is also streamed to the alien's homeworld. And there's a condition that the human has to maintain ratings for their reality show.

[hider=A wish/Divine Intervention]
Maybe your character has wanted to be a ruler. Maybe they wanted to know what it would be like to rule an entire country. Through magic or divine intervention, they get their wish, just not what they were expecting.

[hider=A video game become real]
Your character has either created or bought a brand new video game. The video game is a Civilization/God game. Your character has created the island/continent above. Through an unknown force (Scifi something or another, or it could once again be divine intervention). They are transported into said game. They are given one year to run the continent. At the end of the year, they can choose to leave the game or stay inside it. Or another possibility is that the continent is made real and thrust onto the Earth, or some abandoned planet.

Your character is a nobody. Orphaned at a young age, no siblings, life is hell, fighting for survival and ends meet. They wish for a better life, one away from the worries and stresses of their life. One night, their prayers are answered, but not in the way they think. They are abducted by aliens in the middle of the night in their sleep and transported to a world the aliens have created. A world with one (or possibly few) continent(s). Your character wakes up in a palace, and is told they are the ruler of the world now, and they can do whatever they want. No rules, no regulations, just lead the nations. 

They are however, given the chance to return to Earth and their old life if they choose. After one month, the aliens will return, and ask YC for their answer.

With no ties to Earth, and with a bright future possibly ahead of them, how can they refuse? But how they react is up to you of course.
