Evangeline had an interesting way of shaking Alicia's hand. She did it in a way that seemed dainty, but it still felt wholesome and generous, somewhat comforting to her. On a contrasting note though, she frowned when Endless gave her preference for the name 'Alicia'. "I think Endless is a beautiful name, it says a lot about who you are if I may say." Evangeline said to her, smiling once again. She smiles a lot. She silently remarked as she listened. "I shall call you Endless and your greatest victories, but I too love the name Alicia." While she normally should have felt flattered by the compliment at the end, Alicia felt rather... chaffed by the use of her real name. No, really, I prefer Alicia. she wanted to say, but she kept her small annoyance in her head and away from her features, keeping a friendly smile. Suddenly, her conversation-partner grew pale at her question regarding how long she had been there, seeming to be in the dark about the exact time. Alicia instantly regretted asking the question and thus bringing grief to her and was about to apologize when she responded. "I believe I have only been here for a day but.." Her voice trailed off and she broke eye-contact to look into the fountain. Alicia decided to leave her be for the moment and instead silently awaited her response to the last question, watching a bird hop around on the ground. She jumped somewhat when she responded, as she had fallen into something of a trance as she watched the small bird. I am sorry. I am the Deity of Complexity. I can hear people's thoughts, wake up in others dreams, I am where all the world's curiosity comes from." "Uh... woah. That's really... important. Really impressive, compared to what I've got..." She couldn't help but immediately comment and she lightly scoffed at the end to keep a light feeling on the conversation. "What about you?" Evangeline asked in a curious tone and Alicia uneasily smiled as she came up with a response. "Promise not to laugh? I told you, it's nothing impressive like yours, so..." Observing her features, however, Alicia could see that Evangeline seemed decent enough not to laugh, no matter how insignificant it was. "Alright... So, get this; I'm apparently the deity of flight, but I can't even fly by myself. That's some harsh irony, huh?" She forced herself to chuckle to lighten it down, but it seemed it needed more explanation. "You see, I can run really fast, I'm as nimble as... some nimble thing, I have an affinity with flying things and I may or may not be able to survive really bad falls, but no flying. Pretty impressive, right?" She made an sarcastic comment, but just as she finished, a man entered the atrium. Tan and thin of build, he had a casual way of walking and as he opened his mouth, Alicia observed that he had an equally casual way of speaking too. "I... uh... hope you don't mind me barging in. I'm Ryko." Subtle. "Endless, or preferably Alicia. A pleasure." She glared at him for ruining the delicate, fragile but comfortable atmosphere with his entry and even as he sat down and Alicia attempted to return to normal conversation, she couldn't shake the feeling of him being there, watching them. It was definitely not a comfortable feeling. The black haired girl quickly looked for a way to escape the situation and upon finding it, she began to head for the doorway, clearly speaking as she turned away. "I feel... peckish. Please excuse me." She curtly saluted (Old habits die hard...) before leaving the atrium and entering the hallway.
