Roots from the ground to ensnare and vines to pull airborne targets down. She can cause trees to uproot themselves and move wherever she wishes, attacking with either their root system or felling themselves on the opponent. The closer she is to what she is manipulating, the faster and stronger the effects. She is also able to cover herself in a dense bark to take incoming blows, and to also form gantlets to help with her strikes. She has a number of scars from her early days of fighting as well as a few from more recent violent encounters. The most notable ones are the multiple scars decorating her knuckles, a number of short cuts on her left arm, a large burn mark on her right leg and a single long cut that goes from the back of her right shoulder down to her hip. She prefers darker colors, usually favoring browns and black, and wears form filling clothing so they don't interfere with her fighting. She also often uses chest bindings as well. Personality: Dedicated to whatever she sets her mind to, Arla is persistent, headstrong and entirely willing to do what she must to get what she wants done. With a strong sense of right and wrong, an enjoyment of fighting, a protective nature of those around and like of getting things done quick and simple, she rarely sits anything out and will put in her all. Outside of conflicts, she tends to hang back and see where things go, chatting with people and relaxing until something gains her attention, or worse, her ire. After, however, is quite easy to trace. She picked up numerous fighting classes, training almost non-stop for several years as she mastered each of them, one after another. Her efforts and skill, as well as a lack of income, eventually brought her into fighting in fight tournaments, both legal and illegal. She made a name for herself in only a few short months, but declined any offers for deals and contracts, stating she only fought because she wanted to, not fame or fortune. The nickname Valkyrie eventually got stuck to her, mostly from the illegal fights, and she'd go on to carry it until shortly before her runes awakening. Berkano activated on a day Arla had no real plan on getting into a fight. She had, in fact, decided to take a short break and go camping for a few days on the outskirts of the city, relax and unwind after a rough round in the rings. The first morning she was there, however, was rudely interrupted by yelling and screaming. When she arrived, a lone Warg had cornered a pair of fellow campers, likely looking for easy prey to sink its fangs into. What it got was an angry woman's shoulder slamming into its rib cage. The other campers ran for it and Arla squared off against the beast, however she herself couldn't recall exactly what happened. When help arrived, she was unconscious and severely wounded with her rune now showing, but the Warg was hanging limp from massive roots that had ensnared and choked it out. She was brought to the training facility and 'requested' to join, something she actually had no objection to.
