[@Lucius Cypher] Yeah, that's mostly true - except for the fact that a culverin doesn't have a trigger and requires two hands to operate. That's what the 'slow match' is for, so at close range you could probably deflect the slow match or bind the arm or grapple or whatever. Also any knight worth his salt should know there are sword techniques developed to counter armor, like half-swording or mordhau, but there are still way better tools for the job. That's why we have maces and warlocks, or the ultimate weapon; poleaxes. Your standard plate armor's not gonna withstand the force of a mighty axe, with all that momentum behind it. Now, if you're wearing chainmail and gambeson, you might not end up badly cut but you'll still have to worry about impact trauma. This is fun, I like this. I haven't even started roleplaying yet. Hope I'm not annoying, though, some people don't like when I nerd out like this.
