Nah mayn, it's good to nerd out, but you're still underestimating plate. That shit stopped anything. [i]There is no way to cut through plate[/i]. Comes down to the metallurgy used in creating blades VS creating armour. Blades are too thin to cut through plate, on impact they just roll or chip. 
   This is because in heat treating, armour is made harder than an average blade. What that means is that on the molecular level, the structure of it is quite crystalline and dense. This, combined with the large surface area, is why blades are useless against armour. They're just not dense or hard enough

In contrast, hammers have a surface area that is larger, and often spiked, which causes it to grip the armour. The greater weight behind it means it can cause concussive injury with more ease. 

Only reliable way to stop someone in full plate is to bring friends
