[@Tangletail] There have never been tales of kobolds who have ever gone to the island and return alive. Hell not even if any dragons who have gone to the ruins and returned. Certainly tales of dragons who live there, but the stories about them seem to make the dragons out more akin to mad beasts than wise and cunning creates kobolds generally worship and follow. Indeed it seems like most of the tales she would know about the ruins are various cautionary tales, as they all end in some form of tragedy brought about either due to the adventurers own bad luck or foolishness.
That... actually is surprisingly a lot more than I expected. And surprisingly quite a bit to work off of. To the Kobold, that almost implies that there were a community of red dragons constantly fighting for status. They are known for going on blind rampages and destroying everything if they learn that another dragon did something that raises their status. And targeted attacks if they discover something had been stolen from them, or if something valuable that they want is in a certain area. If these were incredibly frequent... than it means that there was certainly fierce competition for something they wanted. If not that, then something there that would certainly draw interest. Which implies they at least had some knowledge of something valuable in a general area. (And a potential risk of a dracoliche). Would she have vague knowledge of a few frequent targets from those stories, directions, or ancient names? Or would they need to search around for clues to such attacks - which would likely be near the mountains assuming her assumptions are correct.
