He fancies darker colors and the urban grunge, edgy-luxe wear (although his clothes were obtained through 'charity'). With a fair athletic built, especially compared to his colleagues since there are a select few that are intensely muscular, Dylan stands at 5'7 and carries an undeniable charm with him, where ever he goes. The charm of a rebellious troublemaker. Whether it's his attitude or his lip piercing and his ear gauges, he just has this bad boy aesthetic that causes people to have preconceived notions of how he is as a person. Granted, their assumptions are most definitely likely, seeing how he has been known as a storm petrel. A true hardbinger of exasperating times and bad weather.
[sub]Personality[/sub]
Witty ✢ Venturesome ✢ Detail oriented ✢ Bohemian ✢ Composed ✢ Playful ✢ Disobedient The simplest way to describe Dylan is he seems to take nothing seriously. He likes to provide entertainment and doesn't harbor on bad vibes for too long. Although his jokes, sarcasm, and goofy antics makes people underestimate him, everything he does is extremely thought out and executed. He is far from a coward and a fool, he just chooses to make people think he doesn't give a fuck. That's entirely his prerogative, realizing most people look down on him because of that. Contrary to common belief, Dylan does care, even if it seems like he doesn't, but to what degree? The world may never know. He isn't necessarily a good guy, seeing how he prefers doing things more for himself than anyone else and needs to feed his strong desire to explore. This can and will make people think he's a jerk at times, lacking the heart to support a team. A problem that may arise while he's attending Olympus Academy. Aside from his skill to think of plans thoroughly, he actually is great at improvising too if the situation allows it. If he can, he'd like to avoid it, but if he must, he will take his sudden obstacles with strides. One thing he does like doing is be showy and extra, and it's even better if he has an audience. Maybe it's simply because he's a clown, or maybe it's because he knows it gets under people's skins. Don't blame him, blame the act, and the fact that he is one of the sons of the big three, which only adds to his arrogance. For those who are keen in understanding Dylan, it's better to watch and analyze his actions and what he says than try to assume who is he. He isn't the most predictable person and he treads the line of good and bad. He won't convince you to like him and he won't change how he treats you. There's some individuals that aren't the easiest to read and Dylan happens to be one of them. Whether you choose to get to know him or not is entirely up to you and may provide you with adventures you never thought you'd be a part of.
[sub]History[/sub]

All his life, Dylan Havelock knew he was different. It was, and always has been, him and his mother, Melaina, versus the world. For most of his childhood, going onto his teen years, he experienced living off of barely anything, where he felt inclined to go out of his way to help his mother provide supper for them two. He was able to obtain skills he wouldn't have if he was raised any differently. They lived in a trailer park and his mother, a remarkable, beautiful woman, was capable to make enough to pay the bills, but that was about it. She continuously would tell him about the best time of her life, which gave him her. With no assumed family to go to, because she chose to run away, she found refuge at an abandon lighthouse and there she met his father. It was hard to not believe her because she spoke with such conviction and adoration for the god. Getting pregnant made her realize she needed to figure out how to provide not only for herself, but for her son. This led to her working multiple jobs and purchasing a trailer in Silver Bay, Minnesota. As odd as their journey has been, his mother's intuition, he has learned, has never failed at doing what's right for them. He's also accepted that his mother may just be downright crazy and incredibly daring when it comes to major risks, but that's totally up for debate. When he was fiftheen, something came over his mother and they packed their bags, used the little money they had, and moved to Skopelos, a Greek island. It seemed like there was a sign for her and that this was something she needed to do. Up until this day, he had no idea he had more Greek in him than he realized, since his mother was born in Greece and that Havelock was a surname change to separate herself from her family. She ran away to America, sneaking onto a trade ship, and now she was returning back to her native land, but not the same island. They went to a bartender friend of her's, who gave them a pleasant place to stay at and told her that her family was no longer around - which was ominous, to say the least. As if their lives got suddenly lucky, she turned a rundown villa into a hotel, Villa Oceana, that is slowly but surely becoming something for tourists. It isn't incredibly successful, but it's getting there. More importantly, though, Oceana has given his mother purpose and she actually enjoys what she is doing. Perhaps it's because she feels his father's presence more here than anywhere else. To help his mother, Dylan became an underage barback for her friend. That being said, paradise in Greece was short lived for him, since this divine miracle was more for his mother than anyone else. Wishing his mother luck with her business, he was sent off back to America to learn how to control his skills at Olympus Academy. Welp. It's been real, Greece. He isn't aware but his father was a big reason their life took a drastic turn and that his mother's family vanished completely. Yepp, his life is fucking weird but hey, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree and he can definitely admit he shares his mother's wanderlust. He is considered one of the most bad-tempered, moody, and greedy Olympian gods. When insulted, he becomes vengeful.
[sub]Relationship With Godly Parent[/sub]
Poseidon communicates with his son indirectly, using his dominion to give his son messages, regardless if Dylan notices them or not. Faith is necessary for Dylan to gain control over who he is meant to be. When Dylan mediates, that is when he can feel his father's presence the most. More often than not, he does NOT make his father happy. Perhaps it's because Dylan is more selfish and for himself than his father would like him to be, which can be seen as ungrateful and an annoyance. For Dylan, he prefers leaving their relationship at indifference. Maybe if his father actually shows himself than he'll get the respect he thinks he deserves, until then: fuck that.
[sub]Demigod Abilities[/sub] [sub]>Secondary Powers[/sub]
Walking Compass | Being able to navigate to destinations is his innate second nature. Even if he's never been, he is still able to calculate the most efficient route. Depending on his knowledge on the place, he may need to mediate. Dylan knows it's only a matter of grooming his sixth sense to master this ability and no longer need to waste time communing with the sea, the wind, and the creatures around him. He wants to get to a point where his intuition is never wrong. If he mediates in water, he envisions his journey in a matter of seconds. Within water, he has the most clarity, even if unlike his sister, he cannot breathe under it in his human form, so he's trained himself to hold his breath longer than the average human. It seems his father has other plans for him. Bloody Delicacy | One of the things his father can do is create drought and plagues. From this, Dylan was blessed, or cursed, with the ability to drop his human blood into a container of salt water and give it healing properties. It is absolutely necessary for his blood to be diluted, mixed, shaken, and sat out for at least five minutes, before ingestion or it won't cure you at all. If his blood is directly drank, it will be more poisonous than cyanide, like fugu (pufferfish). You will die. There is a precise formula on making a potent potion, like scientists do when they are mixing chemicals. Putting too much of his blood in water can remind people more of the biblical story of the Nile river, killing sea creatures and the vegetation surrounding it. If he is wounded, he must care for it, and cover it, in a timely manner or an unfortunate pestilence will spread. To avoid his blood being a problem in combat, he is highly recommended to not fight as a human by his teachers. Hoist The Colours | Dylan will be the closest thing to a modern day pirate. His heart is that of an adventurer and he does believe there are wonders out there waiting for discovery. He wants to meet sea nymphs, find relics and other loot, and live at sea. This ability influences his personality, but more importantly, it gives him a strong understanding of sailing, ships, and travel, more so than your typical sailor. He also connects more with those considered as 'low-lives', beggars, and thieves, and can gain worshippers for his father, solely by their loyalty to him as a friend. He is one of the least biased individuals you can ever meet, looking past your wrongdoings, even if it is criminal. With that natural acceptance for all souls, he could become a missionary for Poseidon - too bad he doesn't really give two shits about that. He just wants to feed his wanderlust, not give his father an army. On the other hand, Dylan can be equally vengeful if someone deliberately tries him. He rarely allows his temper to get to that point, but it can happen.
[sub]>Primary Power[/sub]
The Sea's Guardian | To bypass his inability to breathe under water, Dylan is capable of shapeshifting either to a water creature, beast, or some form of horse. Meditation, though, is best in his human form. The only two land based animals he can turn into are a horse and a Cretan bull, which are both his father's sacred animals. A recent upgrade has been his ability to turn into a Pegasus and a Hippocamp. Since he is still training to master those forms, those are harder to stay in and has a time limit. Most likely because of their magical properties versus a dolphin. He only permits a select few to ride him. Primarily, his sister. Note, transforming does not come without pain and so his fortitude has grown over time to the exasperating task of changing into another entity. Some of his forms, like the Pegasus, have their own set of abilities, like he can cause the earth to break and shake by stomping on his hooves. As a Hippocamp, he can have conversations with the creatures below, as well as influence their actions to help in any given situation. Something he is only vaguely aware of because for the most part, he keeps his emotions at a calm, is when he allows himself to go into a rage state, or metaphorically let a storm brew inside him, he will have the ability to turn himself into a Titan. A Titan of what he envisions them to be like, based off stories. So far, his anger has only allowed him to turn parts of his body into rock or serpent (think Hydra). This is the only transformation he cannot fully turn into since he is rarely enraged. As time goes on, Dylan is realizing he is more of a tool for his father than a prince. His sister, Rhea, has more dominion over water and disasters, in his opinion, and will surely grow to be a true stormbringer. He's coming to terms with the fact that it might be his job to protect his father's domain and his sister, because of his vast limitations in his human form. One of his biggest fears is getting stuck in a form and losing all his humanity.
