A present from his parents and his first Pokemon, Leo was given Noibat as an egg. Leo and Noibat have been together for a long time and even with the Pokemon’s small size it has taken down some vastly stronger Pokemon. They are truly each other’s best friend. Noibat has never lived in a Pokeball.

The first Pokemon Leo caught himself, although caught might not be the right word. He found Drilbur on the side of the road injured severely. He took it to the Pokemon center and stayed with it until it recovered. When he tried to return it to the wild, the Pokemon kept following him. As a result Leo kept Drilbur.

Leo’s first real caught Pokemon, Piplup was alone far from the ocean. Is demeanour was calm and far from erratic, even challenging Leo to fight it. With some luck he managed to capture Piplup and they now have a strong bond.

Sully is very much a people person, willing to talk to whoever is willing to listen. He likes to laugh and joke but has no qualms about being someones shoulder to cry on. He is strong willed, verging on stubborn at times, but will always do whatever he can to help his friends. He is very much about moving forward in his life and not taking a step back. He can get quite competitive at times but is always humble and gracious in defeat.

[b]Background[/b]
The Umbra region was home to a gym that had been in the hands of a single family since the inception of the Pokemon league. Leo’s family had run the gym in the standard way by focussing on a single typing [Flying] but what made their stand out was the homely atmosphere they created for visitors. They provided meals and allowed challengers to stay the night if they so wished. Unfortunately things wouldn’t last.

A year after Robert took over, one of the smaller cities of the region had a massive economic boom. Within three years the city known as Paragon City was the biggest city in the region. However what they lacked was a Pokemon gym and that is where Leo and his family became affected. After several payoffs and underhanded deals, Leo’s families gym was forcibly moved to Paragon City under the ownership of a corrupt businessman.

After the initial devastation Leo decided to leave the region to try and discover a new life. He ended up on the Rorie Islands and while there he discovered a newly created Pokemon league. While he felt an initial pull to try and become a Gym Leader he decided to try his hand at being a Pokemon Trainer.
