The driver looking very confused as to why these two had asked to be dropped off, in as far as he was concerned, the middle of nowhere. She watched the cab drive off for a moment and then turned to follow the satyr. He had told her that was what he was, had even shown her his hoofed feet. She had a hard time trusting the guy and that had been a wild moment for her. It wasn't that she even trusted him now, she thought as she followed him up the hill, it was more that she had nowhere else to go. Quite literally. Too many homeless camps had kicked her out. You knew you were bottom of the rung of society when the bottom of the rung was chasing you off. She shook her head and continued up. Her friend led her passed a tree with a literal dragon wrapped around it and something golden shimmering in the branches. Andy gave the tree a wide berth. On the downslope of the hill, there was a man in a wheelchair waiting for them. Her friend waved and ran up to the man speaking to him for a moment gesturing at Andy who hung back nervous. She wasn't excited about this situation suddenly. The place seemed okay. There were some kids messing around in orange shirts. She wondered if they were actually prisoners, but they seemed to be having fun.
