Haunted house
"Alright boy, we've got another mission to do. Not as violent as the others, but I'm sure something will happen. Keep your wits about you." The half-elf instructed as she rode on the back of the Wendigo, leaning in and patting it's neck as they ran behind the R&D van. Naturally, there were onlookers as the Wendigo bolted passed, running on all fours like a beast of the wild with its antlered skull bobbing up and down as it raced after the speeding vehicle. It was clear the beast was expending a tremendous amount of effort to keep up with the automobile, the dense traffic giving it 'breathing' room to catch the distance. Twice on the trip it had been forced to vault over a vehicle trying to pull in front of it. It was a miracle nobody had gotten hurt from their unorthodox mode of transportation.. As the chief gave a quick rundown of events, Wendigo was still bunched into a ball as it sniffed at the air. Not being a living creature, it lacked a proper and thorough sense of smell but it recognized something in the air. Blood. Lots of it. There was no way for it to understand just how much blood there was on the vicinity but it was substantial enough to trigger the great monster's endless hunger. "I... smell... death." It rasped, sounding like a mixture of groaning old floorboards shifting in the wind. "As do I, Sir Fluffles." She responded curtly as she hopped off it's back. She quickly rummaged through her backpack, producing a large paper wrapped parcel, opening it to reveal a big slab of red meat. "Open wide, boy." She said, before throwing the dripping flesh up toward the Wendigo's mouth. The beast lurched forward without hesitation, issuing a long drawn out scream of excitement that rattled the first floor windows before lunging at the offered meal, swallowing the entire piece of meat in a single snap of its jaws. Sated, Wendigo padded behind Devora as it continued to sniff at the air. "The blood... is... close" Devora approached the others, gesturing toward the 'condemned complex', "Lead the way. we'll keep an eye out." She stated, Akash taking off from her shoulder. The half-elf closing one of her eyes as he did so. Wendigo, still on all fours, kept close to Devora as she always instructed but had picked up a bad habit of idly picking at the bloody sigils carved into the walls. For what purpose it was not clear but something in the burning lights of its eyes showed it was put on edge.
