Soon enough Nikola walked into the cafeteria. It was busy, as usual. As he walked towards the food table he was conscious of stares directed towards him, though they were more likely aimed at the fluffy mass in his arms. He could have de-summoned his dragon but he would probably need kitten to help with his breakfast. He arrived at his destination looked around at the food on display. Over the brief period of time he'd spent here he found that it wasn't unsatisfactory compared to the food he would receive in the Drakengard manner. It was far less luxurious but Nikola counted that as a benefit. Maybe he would understand their appeal as he got older, but for the moment he appreciated more simple dishes, like what could be found at the cafeteria this morning. Nikola stood back and carefully studied the food, as if deciding what to choose. He nodded to himself as his decision was made and dutifully placed Kitten into his hood. He picked up a platter and began collecting his breakfast. A few sausages, eggs, some bacon, some toast, and fruit juice. This was quite a lot for the boy, whose small frame didn't allow for much of an appetite. He did have backup in the form of Kitten, however, who no doubt had a voracious hunger after all that sleeping. The boy looked around for an empty, peaceful spot to have a meal. He found a somewhat secluded table and set his platter down, taking Kitten from his back and lowering it to the table. It paced over to his plate with curiosity, and Nikola offered it one of his sausages. He took one of his pieces of toast and bit into it, watching as Kitten relentlessly chewed at its morsel. Although Kitten would gladly eat whatever he had left Nikola still wanted to eat as much of it as he could. He was still growing, he hoped, and his body would need all the nutrients it could get.
