Falling back on his supernatural reflexes, he managed to dodge out of the way just in time for the plants sharp branches to miss his face. Flipping backwards on one hand, Vitius made a horizontal slash with his sword as he landed, in the hopes of cutting the conifers trunk in half, even though he knew that was a futile goal. The thing causing all of this was the creature whose disembodied voice he'd heard. Vitius, from his days of fending off ancient vampires up in the mountains surrounding Ebongrove, knew that if he and Sadon could find the creature and kill it, then the plants would most likely return to their former inanimate, and less murder happy, state. Of course killing it would be the easy part. Finding the creature in this mess was the real problem.[/center]
