With this ability, Axel can reach a maximum speed of 50 Mph. His eyesight is also drastically increased to such lengths that Axel can read a newspaper heading from 3000 feet away. [u]Soul of the Nightingale[/u] This is another passive ability that grants Axel a powerful regenerative ability. Small cuts and bruises are healed within a few seconds. Significant injuries, such as bullet holes or stab wounds, take several minutes to heal. Large gashes and potential mortal wounds are healed in a matter of hours. Lost limbs, save for the head, regrow in several days time. Note that this is not a perfect way to stave off death. Any damage severe enough can cause Axel to die before his body has a chance to regenerate. Damage to the brain or sudden beheading is a good example. [u]Tailwind String[/u] Arrows notched into the string of Nightingale’s Shadow gain more speed and power as the bowstring is held back. The maximum distance and time required for a fully powered arrow is 1 minute. After one minute, the released arrow can travel a maximum of 1 mile with no loss of force or speed. [u]Quiver of a Feather[/u] The Quiver of Nightingale’s Shadow constantly restocks itself with an assortment of arrows. There are currently 4 slots for arrows each one able to hold a different amount of the arrows designated to their respective slots. The four arrows are Standard, Exploding, Hope, and Lament arrows. [u]Standard Arrows[/u] The most common arrow fire from the bow. These arrows sport a silver shaft and white feathers. These arrows are wickedly sharp and can pierce through most types of worn armour. Axel can hold a maximum of 20 of these arrows. A standard arrow is formed once every 15 seconds. [u]Exploding Arrows[/u] Thes arrowheads of this light blue arrow are highly unstable and will explode on contact after being fired from Nightingale’s Shadow. The intensity of the explosion is comparable to an average grenade. Axel can hold a maximum of 15 of these arrows. An exploding arrow is formed once every 1 minute. [u]Hope Arrows[/u] While Axel’s regenerative abilities are inactive, the excess healing funnels into his quiver, generating golden arrows. These arrows when fired become ethereal arrows of golden light passing through everything in a straight line until it hits a living creature. Any living creature hit with one of these arrows is temporarily bestowed a condensed version of Axel’s regeneration ability. The effect only lasts a few seconds, but targets of this ability can often heal most major wounds. Axel can hold a maximum of 10 these arrows at a time. The rate of creation is 1 arrow every 30 minutes. [u]Lament Arrows[/u] This is the most sinister arrow in Axel’s arsenal. These arrows are created from all of the wounds Axel takes over the course of his life. As Axel’s wounds heal, Nightingale’s Shadow takes all of the pain from the wound and manifests it into a physical weapon. When this black arrow is fired, it turns into an ethereal streak of black energy that passes through everything until it hits a living creature. When a living creature is hit by a Lament Arrow, all of the creatures prior wounds over the last 2 year reopen and agitate. Every cut, scrape, bruise, and broken bone resurfaces into full effect. Axel can carry a maximum of 5 of these arrows. Unlike other arrows that generate passively, Lament arrows only form after a set amount of regenerative healing has reached. For every 1 Lament Arrow, Axel must undergo a cumulative 24 hours of regenerative healing. [u]Nightingale's Song[/u] Axel can temporarily sacrifice half of his current regenerative properties to instantly produce 10 Hope arrows. Every time he uses this ability his regenerative ability becomes half as effective for 24 hours. He can use this ability a max of 3 times before his regenerative ability cannot produce enough healing to create Hope Arrows. [b]Personality:[/b] A talented medic and hunter, Axel has a laissez-faire attitude on life. With a lack of ambition, he completes tasks given to him with the minimum amount of effort needed and with the laziest of attitudes. He only really comes alive when he is surrounded by friends, needs to medically work on someone, or gets to put his hunting skills to good use. When it comes to any of those 3 things, the lazy Axel grows into an ambitious and driven man, ready to succeed. [b]Bio:[/b] Axel was raised by a single father, who was a hunter. His father often took him out on hunts and taught Axel how to survive in the wilds. One day his father was wounded by a wild boar and Axel spent three days by his dying father’s side. After his father’s death, Axel was sent to an orphanage. It was there that he took an interest in medicine and how to heal the human body. He absorbed as much as he could and had decided he was going to practice medicine. That was until he materialized his Noble Arm at the age of 15. The orphanage sent him off to go study at a nearby arms academy. After which, he was recruited into the army. Despite his attitude towards it all, he fared well within the military. After some minor operations that were a success and a few promotions, he was recommended for Operation Symbiosis.
