You, for whatever reason, are coming to this campus, perhaps because it's new or perhaps its because you failed your application to get into your first choice. The School welcomes you with open arms. So come on duelist.

Mechanics

So as we all know MR4 makes it extremely necessary to bring link monsters even for archetypes that can be seen as purely 'synchro' or 'Xyz' like Synchronous or Gagaga So this is a rule I am implementing to remove the strict requirement for links in those types of decks that can be seen as 'purely' one extra deck type. The way the rule works is if you control a 'Xyz, Fusion or Synchro monster' in your extra deck monster soon. You can over/fuse/synchro/ that are the same type as that monster (e.g if you control a fusion monster in that zone you can only fuse more fusions) that are a lower level/rank then that monster. Standard MR4 rules still apply in all other cases. This is done as a way to try to bring links and their associated cards into play without forcefully causing decks to have to use them.

A most spectacular stage!: Players can activate field spell cards in order to change the environment on the half of the battlefield they are on. Action cards on this side are redistributed. Some duelists use this for the benefit of getting around.

Banned cards
Anything on the TCG and OCG banlist, however, if something is banned on one list and yet limited on the other it, it is limited. Same is true for cards that are not banned on one list (which makes the card playable at three) Note! Just remember I will be curating decks to avoid anyone going too crazy with the resulting freedom. We are going for story duels that are cool and flavourful, over meta slogs. Also, if you can, do try to justify why you as a student if you have one, have an exceptionally rare or powerful monster in your deck (like Judgement dragon in lightsworn for instance). If you don't have one you can very much earn it during the roleplay which would be a good growth for your deck. Try to build a deck with that in mind as earning cards is a very good way of symbolising progression as a character.
How Duels will be played
Preferably duels will be done with 4k life points in a freeform format where both players are allowed to draw what they please (as long as its in their deck) with the intent to make the duel as exciting as possible for the people involved. Of course in the event that this is unlikely due to player disagreements or the like. It can in the worst case scenario also be done through simulators but this is not prefered. Due to the amount of students present, most rooms in the building have several entries and exits to make evacuation in case of emergency quick and easy. The four auditoriums are each well-equipped enough to house one whole year's worth of students with everything they need for regular subjects, including science experiments. Depending on the number of applicants in any given year, auditoriums are assigned. The largest auditoriums, 3 and 4, are reserved for the grades with the largest numbers of students. The cafeteria offers a week-long schedule of warm meals you can buy for a small price, as well as weekly food-related events on Thursdays. Students can also buy take-away meals or sandwiches in case they want to eat outside of the cafeteria. The gym, meanwhile, is equipped with a wide range of sports equipment to give the students enough variety, with the campus' courtyard being used for outdoor activities.

Dorms are separated both in gender and in Ranking. Each gender has their own specific dorm building, while each of those buildings house several floors worth of multi-occupant rooms. Boarding is not required at Mitsuri and depending on the hiercharcy of your dorm you may have to bunk with other students. It can be noted that the three dorm types have different amenities available to the students there. Scarlet: The Bare minimum, nothing fancy, more akin to a real life dorm building with just a basic room to put your stuff, and a desk and wardrobe. Due to the students being so low on the ranking, students here don't get access to additional amenities beyond the bare minimum Gold: Larger rooms, and thus more space to have amenities like a dresser and the like. These rooms. Royal Blue: The Largest rooms, students here will without a doubt get the entire room to themselves and thus can put whatever they want in here. They also can request a greater number of amenties then other dorms.

A moderately sized circuit built for Mitsuri. The arena is fully equipped with several academy-licensed Duel Runners, and the hangar is equipped with stalls for student-owned runners that adhere to the academy's guidelines. Students are not allowed within the hangar without supervision, and any student caught sneaking in will be reprimanded. Launching the Speed World Neo field spell within the circuit will activate a limiter on the Duel Runner's top speed, set at a usual 40mph. This limiter can be adjusted by anyone with access to the controls and is present to make the students able to turbo duel safely and avoid unforeseen crashing due to high speed dueling.

The action duel arena in Mitsuri is a gymnasium-esque building made exclusively to house the Solid Vision generator underneath its field. There are audience stands lining the outside perimeter, but most of the space is exclusively there to house the required Action Field Spell. Students are not allowed into the arena without explicit permission or supervision. There is a small stairwell behind a locked door that leads into the basement of the Action Duel arena. There, the control system for the Solid Vision generator is located. The generator itself is in a separate underground location underneath the main field, with a huge room having been built exclusively to house the machinery.

Character Sheets

Name Age Appearance Personality History
Monsters (write the number as x 1 or x 2 next to it to signify the amount you have) Spells (write the number as x 1 or x 2 next to it to signify the amount you have) Traps (write the number as x 1 or x 2 next to it to signify the amount you have) Extra Deck Fill at your leisure, but please try to be unique and varied (remember that the max is 15~) Ace Monster
