[indent]At first glance, Mizura is a playful flirt. She seems to like saying things to fluster people and to twist their words. She often comes across less than serious in many situations, and even when confronted with openly hostile people she’ll be full of jokes to play off the tense mood. Aside from her generally flirtatious demeanor, she is rarely deliberately offensive beyond the possibility someone isn’t a fan of sex jokes. Even though her words are usually silly in nature, she is at least supportive of other people’s goals.

In truth, Mizura does not entirely enjoy her own flirtatious personality. While she keeps up the act because she feels it serves a purpose, she hates the idea of portraying herself as a sex object and is always pleasantly surprised when people don’t get taken in by her façade. Beneath all those dumb sex jokes is an intelligent and observant young lady that would like nothing more than to be recognised as such, but she’s just too mistrustful to not make use of what she considers her defence mechanism.[/indent]

[indent]Mizura is the child of a single mother, a woman named Reimi Suihara. Having to raise both Mizura and her younger brother, Mizuro, on her own, Reimi developed a very hardened personality. She did what she had to in order to make ends meet. However, rather than resort to the obvious tactics of desperation for a young woman with little money, Reimi instead resorted to using others for their money. Mizura saw many men and women come and go from the many apartments they moved in and out of. All of them appeared to be in relationships with her mother, but none of them stayed around for long. One day when she was older, Mizura asked her mother why she had so many people coming and going, and Reimi sat her down for a chat.

She told her; “Sex is a weapon, Mizura. Some people do very stupid things in order to get it. Even if you just let them think you’re going to give them what they want, you can take them for a ride. And then you can get the money for your kids from those very stupid people.” 

Mizura barely understood what she had told her at the time. To her young brain, it just sounded like her mother had admitted to stealing from people. She wasn’t entirely happy about that. In the meantime, Mizura was making progress at school. While it was hard because she moved around so much, she seemed to have a talent for academia. But as she got older, school only got harder, as she began to attract unwanted attention from others. In particular, one kid called Kyosuke liked to push and shove her in the corridors and make inappropriate comments about her [i]developments[/i]. Stressed out and unable to get the faculty to take her complains seriously, Mizura was at a loss for what to do until one day Kyosuke approached her and said that if she agreed to be his girlfriend, he’d cut it out. 

The mere thought of it sickened her…but Mizura said yes. She remembered what her mother had told her, so she decided to let Kyosuke think they were a couple. She said it aloud. She flirted with him, taking cues from how her mother behaved. She made the whole school think she was genuinely into him…while giving him absolutely nothing of substance. Before she left school, she’d even bilked him out of several thousand yen worth of stuff. A part of her felt disgusted by her own behaviour, but she had to admit, this was better than being a meek little target. It was a good thing for Mizura that her mother moved around so often, as it gave her the perfect excuse to walk out on Kyosuke and never see his nasty face again.

After that, Mizura continued to wield sex appeal like a weapon. It was something she could use to keep people confused and flustered and thinking she was some silly bimbo. All the while she prepared for a future where she could forget all the foolishness of her past. At first she had considered going into something science related, but she was then reminded of the advent of Hero schools and thought that perhaps it might be a more fulfilling life to be a Hero.[/indent]
