James' question was quickly dismissed by Giouse and Andromeda found herself slightly irritated with the Emendator's demeanor. She knew that Siduri was concerned about this end of the world - but it seemed like Giouse was merely commenting on the weather or as to whether or not he would be participating in the county fair's pie bake. He then stood up and Andromeda raised an eyebrow slightly. From what she could tell, there was no magic opt out button that she could press. She had no idea how to even go about opting out if she wanted that - so she figured that the fact that she was still there meant she was opting in. Siduri's words gave her pause. Arguably, they could be seen as the villains from just a different perspective. The Emendators preserved the timeline - they ensured that the course of history went a certain direction and removed obstacles in that path. Was there really any free will then? Or was it just an illusion? Was time fixed or did they have an option to choose their own future? The philosophical questions started to gnaw away at her and it made Andromeda wonder if the Destruere saw them similarly as monsters. She had no illusions that the Emendators were attempting to protect life. They were neutral. It was a troubling thought and she shifted slightly. They weren't the heroes in this story.
