You can't have one without the other, I say!"

NAME
Hattori Himōri 服部 紐織り
GENDER
Female
AGE
16 - 13th of January
APPEARANCE
Height: 5' 2"

Weight: 185 lbs

Fashion Sense:
While in public, Himōri wears baggy clothing that covers most of her body, mostly long sleeve shirts and pants, with a sweater or a jacket on top of it. In the company of friends, however, Himōri reveals the depths of her wardrobe, donning clothes that reflect the currently popular fashion trends modified to cater to her body type. In general, she prefers lighter colors over darker ones, specifically earthy colors. That being said, you'll never catch her dead wearing anything neon pink, though she never explains why exactly that is. During the winter seasons is the only time she'll ever sport darker colors, but even then it will probably be a shade of brown.

Distinguishing Features:
If it wasn't for her weight, Himōri would probably be seen as just an ordinary girl with no real stand out features. But because of it, she draws attention, and it's usually not the pleasant kind.

PERSONALITY
Hardworking
The first to start and the last to leave, Himōri is the type of person who never leaves a job unfinished, doing what needs to be done, and sometimes even more than what is asked of her. A good work ethic is something that had been drilled into her since the day she picked up a needle for the first time, and the countless hours she'd worked at her mother's shop have trained her to do whatever job she's assigned thoroughly.
Trustworthy
If there's anything that you can count on Himōri for, it's the strength of her word. A promise given by Himōri will always be kept to the best of her ability. If it's ever broken, she's sure to bawl longer than the promisee is able to hold a grudge. It's a bit scary, really, to what lengths she's willing to go to keep her word, a value Himōri believes is necessary to become a person she can be proud of.
Passionate
Any time she places her investment into anything, she'll always step up to show how much she's willing to show how much she cares, never allowing herself to be turned away by the opposition as she stands up for what she believes in. While it's an admirable trait to have, it's sometimes a double-edged sword when it's coaxed to life for the wrong reasons, becoming more of a detriment in some cases than it is a positive trait.
Impulsive
A good idea should always be acted upon as soon as you think of it. It's this mindset that fuels Himōri's frequency to act on her own accord, changing plans on a dime and working off of even the smallest of chances to reach her goals. It causes her to act rashly and without much prior thought when her emotions run high, and can very well get herself and others into danger because of her reckless actions.
Self-Sacrificing
Thinking about her own safety was never a priority for Himōri. At a time when she didn't know the difference between her hands and her feet, she'd given into every selfish thought that came into her mind. But after she became a person that her mother was forced to rely on, she never really had a chance to think about what she wants, what she needs, rather than the needs of others. Even with her newfound independence, she still hasn't shaken away this mindset, instinctively putting others before her own wellbeing.

HISTORY
Born to a Quirkless tailor mother and a Thread Manipulation Quirk father, it came as no surprise to anyone that Himōri’s life would be intrinsically tied to clothing. Even at a young age, Himōri had already been taught how to sow and weave, helping her mother in small amounts at the shop while her father worked as a small-time businessman. She was always entranced by her father’s Quirk, his threads dancing before her eyes as they morph into animals and various shapes to entertain her before he would put her to bed. It was a normal, simple life, up until her father got caught up in a protest from Anti-Quirk extremists and lost his life during the riot along with a few others before the police could rein in the situation. With only her single mother supporting the family, Himōri was forced to cope with her father’s death alone at the tender age of six while her mother worked furiously to keep them afloat. Over time, the small amount of time Himōri spent to help her mother increased, from minutes to hours to any moment awake she wasn’t at school. By the time she turned eight, Himōri was essentially her mother’s employee, working hours before and after school with no time for breaks in between. Despite her circumstances, Himōri never asked her mother why she would have to work at the shop while other children played at the park, never brought up that her circle of friends had begun to leave her while she was stuck inside repairing a customer’s clothes. She merely trusted in the last member of the family she had, supporting her still-grieving mother while ignoring the grief in her own heart. It only became worse when her Quirk awakened itself, her mother horrified by the seemingly empty bed she found that morning, only to realize that the curled-up ball of what she thought was a blanket was a Himōri-shaped silk figure. When the misunderstanding was resolved, the family immediately made plans to move, fearing a similar incident of what happened to Himōri’s father could occur should they stay any longer. Even while her mother was frantically preparing for the relocation, Himōri would find herself playing with her newfound powers, reminiscing a time when it was someone else who would show her the wonder of a Quirk. It was only luck that brought them to the city that would eventually construct the UA, and by the time Himōri had reached high school age, she wished to enroll there. Fearing for her Himōri’s safety, her mother refused, and for a time they were conflicted with one another. For a year, Himōri refused to enroll in another high school, spending her days as a full-time employee at her mother’s shop instead. The woman was surprised, thinking that her daughter was truly taking up the mantle of becoming her successor. It was only when the next school year began that the mother realized what her daughter was trying to do. She would have never let her daughter work for free, so she’d been giving Himōri spending money at the same rate as an actual employee. What she never realized is that Himōri had been saving her money ever since her first paycheck and that she’d saved enough to enroll herself into UA. Their last day together in the same household started with a fight but ended with tearful goodbyes as Himōri set off to become a student at the Quirk-centered UA, with the goal of becoming a person with the strength to keep a family from being forcefully torn apart like hers was.
