She didn’t put it past this old factory to have a few kinks on its own; especially when backup power seemed to have sparked on. Jackie frowned behind her mask, though it was impossible to tell. Darker lighting would have really sold the image she was trying to portray but she supposed the half-lit shadows were fine enough even without the power cut off. And given the fear already fresh in the air, it seemed she didn’t need to bolster her image more. She could feel the apprehension just beyond the factory doors. Jackie could hear the concern resonating in the students’ voices and indeed, the slight itch in her Quirk confirmed there was some anxiety built up by the strange occurrences outside. But that was downplayed by Miss Number One Hero, who comforted and assured her students as any teacher should. Jackie sulked back when she saw the groups approaching, peaking through the door’s cracks. As much as she found Enterprise annoying and uppity, trying to go for her throat would have resulted in a trip to the hospital, even if she was a “child” in her eyes. No, it would have to be the children that would serve as targets. As Jackie mused on these thoughts, she stepped back further into the shadows before leaping into an airduct as the school groups came in. With her Quirk, it was easy to lightly smash through and hide away. A moment more and some factory tour guide too airy for his own job bolted through to try and explain the bad lighting. In the middle of his explanation, an explosion that seemed to rock the barest foundations of the factory was heard by everyone present. Even Jackie recoiled a bit in her airduct, only to be reassured by Noxious’ words in her intercom. So, this was by their doing…well, it served as the perfect distraction. There were already some students feeling antsy and even daring to explore the factory more so because of the rabble. Her initial target-that is, the one that caught Jackie’s attention first-unfortunately kept her guard up and was alert now. Phenomenal. Well…whatever. Rolling her eyes, she supposed she could still make this work. She’d just have to choose the next best option in making her debut. And do so she did. As the students and the two teachers began heading off into their corridors none the wise, Jackie slowly emerged from her hiding spot. A jostling rattle was the only indication of her entrance as she dropped down like a rat in the vents with chainsaw in hand. It wasn’t powered on and was without sound or motion. Instead, Jackie swung the tool midair like a blunt blade towards her newfound target with an almost uncanny silence: Eira. [hr]
