Sometimes I wonder if I'm notoriously picky, fickle or just a normal guy. I join the most random thing with no rhyme or reason to it; generally it's just whatever seems halfway decent at the time. It's a lot easier for me to say what turns me off from an RP than it is to say what turns me on. [sub][sup][s]I mean, a lot of things turn me on, but this isn't about that.[/s][/sup][/sub] I'm generally turned off from any GIF usage or real-life faceclaiming. I don't jive with that crowd for a whole list of reasons. An interest check can be as detailed or as barebones as it wants, usually I'll be clamoring more for the idea than the amount of words written in it. Well, I do have some kind of set 'minimum,' but that minimum is very relative and more related to the quality of what's been written rather than the quantity. Friends get a pass from me 24 times out of 25, unless I just don't care for the concept (Kuro's prone to this trap for me. Cool guy, but never makes something I feel 100% about committing to.) In that same vein, if I see some unreliable GM like a certain Diffusion Fork or Knockout Player I know, I'm less inclined to give them another shot. This goes for players too, if I see some Salvation Soul around anything I'd like to join, I don't think I'm going to be doing so. I'm not masochistic enough to tolerate people that are going to be damn-near guaranteed to get on my nerves. I also join every YGO RP in existence no matter how trash it is/I can see it being, but I'm starting to regret that lifestyle after joining something where almost every character was a mary sue of some description with absolutely no knowledge on the basic rules of the setting. Now if only my favorite RPs didn't die out left and right I wouldn't have to join new ones as often as I do :'D
