Penelope raised an eyebrow at him as he suddenly laughed, confused by what could have possibly crossed his mind. As he turned to her and said there was a way for her to help, she returned his grin with a smile, glad to hear the former thief accepting her offer. It'd give her a small piece of mind that night if she was able to help him out rather than just retiring to her room and hoping everything went well. However, she was slightly confused as he went on to say that she'd need to go to his room with him. "Alright." she said tilting her head a bit confusedly. "What's the plan?" "Yes I'd like to know that as well. Specifically why it involves her going to your room." her father growled. His jaw was clenched and his eyes were narrowed at the viceroy. It was easy to guess why he had a problem with that detail, especially given the past. She cringed at the memory of her father practically walking in on them. As much as she wished he would just willingly keep out of their personal business and trust at least her, she knew he was too protective to do so. "Father, it's just to get the jewelry back, nothing more." Penelope muttered defensively. "Which is exactly why I'm curious it involved you going to his room at this hour. Especially when you two are suppose to be keeping a distance from each other." John snorted. He shifted his gaze back to Crow, eying him warily. "What exactly are you planning, Lockton?"
