She has performed with local artists whenever she can, though it was typically in exchange for a night on their couch. She is quick to buy shirts plastered with familiar band logos, has been scouring current magazines for tips as well as references, and hunted down a local thrift store within the hour of her arrival. Being released from the box she was required to hold closed for so long has perhaps been too overwhelming for the young woman, as she has not quite mastered mixing patterns and has been reminded twice that wearing a cap backwards stopped being cool years ago. Despite this, her knowledge of style and her closet continue to grow. Claire’s hair is the easy part, as it is stick straight and has never once been touched by color. Her face, once adored by a layer of foundation, is only recently seeing sunlight provided by the actual center of the Solar System, rather than a tanning bed. The pale, hardly noticeable freckles that line the bridge of her nose and tops her shoulders stand as evidence of this. Her eyes are just a light enough shade of blue to call attention to them and Claire religiously adorns them with deep shadows, noting them to be one her favorite qualities. The woman’s overall frame is slim and she stands at a generous 5’8”. She regularly makes fun of her own elongated limbs, frequently and shamelessly referring to herself as “Slenderman” much to her mother’s dismay.
PERSONALITY
| Witty | Curious | Impulsive | Candid | Imaginative | Gregarious | Daring | With freedom comes the innate need to explore. And that is just what Claire has been doing. She is fumbling her way through so much that she feels she lost during her time at home, including everything from fashion to hobbies to food and drink. A fear of judgement has been playing a part in her life lately, however, as flipping through so many identities has left her wondering if she will be viewed as a cliche just trying to fit in. Claire is never afraid to argue, but rarely takes minor altercations personally. This is driven by a deeply rooted stubbornness that has been developing since birth and often a need to have things her way. She had daily practice on this with her mother and has honed in her debate skills. Disputes come as easy as a conversation about the weather to her and truthfully, are much preferred to small talk. As soon as they are over and she feels that she has successfully gotten her point across, she will be back to complimenting your hair and asking where you got your shoes. Claire desperately strives for constant movement and action, typically initiating it should there be none readily available. Always ready to start a conversation or plan an event, she believes a community such as that found within SVU and Silvervale as a whole will be beneficial. The stories she has already heard about some local spots has left her mind reeling with ideas on how to get out and explore them herself.
HABITS, TRAITS, AND EXTRAS

A recent exposure to just how many caffeine options exist on this Earth has left Claire with a bit of an addiction.
She goes through the works when she listens to music. Volume all the way up, windows open, leaping off the bed sorta deal.
Free food is one of the single best bargaining tools when it comes to Claire.
Late night meaningful conversations while driving are an absolute favorite. Late night drives in general, really.
Claire was taught piano at young age at her mother’s request, but she also picked up guitar along the way. She is overall fairly musically skilled, but most of her talent falls in her voice.
Claire writes spoken word along with her own songs, but they rarely make it to light.
She lived in her car for two months after leaving her home and Redwood Apartments will be the first place she has stayed since then that has her name on the lease.
She has a fascination with aging literature and film. But her favorite will always be horror flicks.
Claire has a passion for conservation and sustainable living. She also has a very green thumb and knack for gardening as a stress reliever.

BACKGROUND
Money ran deep and far through the DuPont bloodline, leaving it tainted and greedy. Charles DuPont, Claire’s father, inherited a large portion of what he had and worked constantly to be able to pass along just as much to his children, two boys and a girl. Primped and prepped for their last name since birth, the DuPont children were attending galas and banquets as soon as they were old enough not to wrinkle their mother’s dress by being held or soil their own clothing. Claire could tell you what order to use your forks in by age two, but could not recite the alphabet until she was four. Appointments were made for the young girl to have a nose job at age fourteen and a journal was marked with the calories Claire consumed with each and every meal. She had become a project to her mother and the household left little air for anyone to breath. Claire personally felt that something new or at least exciting was honestly being asked for. Pristine oak tables you could not eat on and a pool that you had to shower before entering had grown to be too much. It began with mattresses being slid down the stairs, then boys being snuck in past midnight, eyeliner worn too dark and skirts worn too short. Claire found every button of her mother’s she could press and she held them down until she received some sort of reaction. Watching a woman that had botoxed her frown lines away finally scowl had become a game. The game ended with Claire finally escaping the home, despite leaving behind a substantial inheritance and full ride scholarship to a local university. She truly had nothing but what fit within a suitcase and a resume that consisted of a full time job with her mother's organization, the Daughters of the American Revolution, as a secretary. Recently, she picked music back up and has been bouncing from couch to couch and job to job, setting in Silvervale in the hopes of returning to school with the money she has earned.
