Joy is an average height, and likes to think she's quite pretty. She's curvy, and takes good care of her skin, her hair, her everything. She dresses nicely, wearing a lot of skirts and dresses, and takes pride in her appearance, which is plain to see. She doesn't take well to insults about her appearance.

Joy has had an alright life. Nothing especially bad has ever happened to her, and with an luck, it never will. She grew up with her sister, who is considerably older than her, and her single mother. They weren't particularly well off, but they lived a comfortable life. With a ten year age gap, her sister moved away when Joy was eight. She comes to visit every now and then, but they don't see each other very often. She still lives with her mother, and plans to move out soon. There isn't much that is particularly memorable about her life so far.

Except for one thing, the first time she stole something. An impulse decision, a candy bar for herself on a Sunday afternoon. It took a minute, and she was never caught. Just once more, she told herself, and she took ten more. Maybe she'll feel guilty about it later, but it isn't as if she can just give it back. Other people might mind, but it isn't their problem. Joy takes things from them too. Small things, nothing they would miss, but just little keepsakes. She regrets those, but again, she can't give them back. And she just can't stop herself either, no matter how hard she tries. She keeps on doing it, because she hasn't been caught yet, and, well, one more time won't hurt.

It's even easier with her stand. Instead of waiting for people to avert their eyes, she could do it herself. So maybe what she's doing isn't right. But that's no one's business but her own. After all, she's a good person, and she won't let anyone tell her otherwise.

Joy is nice to talk to. She's extroverted, friendly, and doesn't mind carrying the conversation or lending an ear if it's needed. She likes talking to people. All of her emotions read plainly on her face, and it isn't difficult to guess how she's feeling.

However, if she feels threatened by anything anyone says, she is quick to become defensive. Joy tends to divert the blame for her wrongdoings where possible, never fully accepting responsibility for her mistakes. She hates when things don't go the way she wants, and she isn't good at hiding it. However, she is also very prideful, and doesn't like it when people try to help her when things go wrong, and especially when they mention her odd habit of taking things.

Joy is a pretty good thief. She can take things without guilt, and get away with it too. If things go south, she can always rely on her stand to get her out. Furthermore, she's good at singing, and knows a lot of card tricks too. She just thinks they're cool.

「Heart of Glass」is humanoid and effeminate, and is smaller than Joy. Its body is transparent, but distorts the light that passes through it like glass. It has no facial features, though between its collarbones is the thick, black outline of a heart, which is visible from both sides, due to its transparency.

「Heart of Glass」comes off as quite childish. It cannot talk, but floats around in circles out of some sort of boredom. If something goes wrong for it or Joy, it appears to show annoyance. Like children, it seems to get nervous around strangers, and spends a lot of time hiding behind Joy when it is out. It will still move elsewhere if she instructs it to, but if it can be close to her, it will try to be.

Whenever「Heart of Glass」touches anything, it temporarily loses one of its senses. At present, Joy is only capable of removing sight. When blinded, it will only see black, though all other senses are intact. This effect is applied the whole time that「Heart of Glass」is touching the victim, and after it lets go, it persists for either 5 seconds. The effect is lost if they are at least 10m away from the stand.
